"Quiet little hotel off the beaten path, nice room, good breakfast and quiet area. "

"We have been on a ten day round trip through northern Scotland. This hotel is the worst on this trip and within top 5 worst hotels I’ve experienced. The room was damp and moist, there were som pathetic repair attempts on a window and obvious rot in the bathroom had been painted over. There is presumably black fungus in the cracks of the paint. Wallpaper in the stairs were flaking off. In addition there was thick tobacco smoke from the room across. There may also be structural damages as the breakfast hall floor was very uneven. The backyard was really filthy. The mgmt of the hotel has been sendt the pictures below for comments, but has not responded. The only elevator was not working. "

I would especially like to praise the receptionist who checked us in and the bartender who worked the evening of 13.3. we got local drink recommendations and the bartender herself was so good and lovely, give her a higher salary please. the place itself was amazing, the cabin was spacious and nice and the restaurant was modern and great! amazing hiking areas and climbing nearby. my boyfriend proposed to me during our stay so we will 100% come back. it was magical!!! thank you so much for the amazing service. ❤️"
