«The Yurt was scenic, peaceful, and picturesque with everything we needed. A Blue Heron visited us daily, as did the ducks on the pond outside the Yurt. Complete with warmth for the cold nights and all the equipment to store and prepare food, we were able to see some local attractions and go back and forth to and from the Yurt conveniently. «This home is a history lesson. Built more than 100 years ago, you see hand-hewn beams supporting the second floor, floors made up of varying-width boards, rooms large enough for their intended purpose without empty space.
We were both intrigued and overwhelmed by the vast differences in home building then and now.
That era saw families and neighbors coming together to fill a need. Everyone pitched in, bringing whatever expertise they had, to get the job done.

«We had a great stay at the lodge. Plenty of room for our big group, with lots of options for sleeping. The gates on the deck and let run area were a huge bonus for our family that was traveling with dogs. We loved the view of the mountains with a cup of coffee in the morning and star gazing at night!»

«The property was nicely decorated and very clean. Also nicely located on the water. The owners communicated well and seemed friendly in their messages. Two things would make the property better - bug screens on more windows so they can be left open and light blocking blinds in one of the bedrooms. Main issue is the unfortunate fact the train track is close and I woke up twice from trains passing in the middle of the night.»
