«Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna!»

«We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. «This place is a great base camp to explore La Fortuna. We came with our five kids and this house had everything that we needed including a beautiful River outback that my kids really enjoyed. The air conditioners in the bedroom work amazing. The host was great with the communication and accommodated our delayed flights which caused us not to get to the place until about 10 hours after we were originally supposed to. Really grateful for a fantastic day.»
