The view is beautiful, the highlight of the stay. The location has easy access to the beach. The assigned parking spot was convenient, and the queen beds were comfortable.The building itself feels quite dated, and the hallways don’t have a particularly relaxing or welcoming atmosphere. The pool is not attached to the building, and getting there requires walking past areas that felt uncomfortable at times, including encounters with individuals experiencing homelessness.Laundry was a notable downside. There’s no in-unit washer/dryer—you have to use shared machines down the hallway that require coins and your own detergent. The machines themselves were not very effective; clothes didn’t dry properly even after a full cycle, and I had an issue where the washer took coins without working, neither building staff nor the machine company were able to resolve or refund this.For a stay longer than a few days, it would really improve the experience to offer a linen or towel exchange—especially given the laundry limitations. Using the same towels for the entire stay wasn’t pleasant. A smaller note: there was no decaf coffee provided, and the coffee creamer in the unit was hardened and unusable, which is something we’ve typically seen handled better in other VRBO rentals. Kitchen well stocked, but missing a basic nonstick flat pan.. Overall, while the view and beach proximity are major strengths, the overall experience didn’t match price point for us.
