Saint-Maurice-sur-Aveyron, Loiret, Centre, France. Old road to Melleroy coming to meet the road to Bellefontaine (which is part of the walking path called PR de Bellefontaine). Here looking east towards Melleroy. It stopped being used at the turn of the 20th century, when a straight path was created for the planned railway from St-Maurice to Melleroy, passing at the Guidus and keeping to the highest points. The railway was in the end never built, and people started using this very straight path, which also avoided the dampest and oft flooded patches of land, instead of the old road. In the wood beyond the field on the right, are the remains of a roman camp along the right handside of this path.
