Vi hadde et herlig opphold på Alda Hotel i Reykjavik. Ble tatt godt i mot da vi kom. Rent, romslig og moderne rom. Nydelig frokost! Kan virkelig anbefales for et vellykket opphold.

So, i was reading all the reviews on Hotels regarding this hotel and the expectations where a bit high. A bit disappointing at my stay on this hotel and it seems the reviews, where little exaggerated. The outdoor bath had no light lid or functioning, so it was dark when we entered the bath outside (not like the picture). It was warm and excited to be outdoor when it was a chill. Room was ok, bathroom also. We got problems with the TV, was unstable and had to be shut down several times (software issue). And picture seem low res. Anyway, we where not here to watch TV, so it was not that a big deal. Kudos that the Hotel did try to switch the TV with another, but it was not the right size. Breakfast was ok, but not that wow feeling. No bacon and scramble eggs tasted bad. I find it strange that this is 4-star hotel. Pen and paper where not available in the room and no bible (usually bible in the room). Nice beds and we got a balcony, witch was very nice to have. Room was ok, but not like high quality. Cleaning was alright and it was cleaned every day.

All you need is here!
We were well recieved at this hotel. As there was a bit of chaos in Reykjavik this day we called the hotel to ask for help with parking. They were very helpful. We also got an upgrade. The rooms are nice and has all you need. Additionally, it is right in the main street. Walking distanse to sights and shops. I would recommend this hotel.

Slik jeg skulle ønske at alle hotellopphold var
Rommet var rent og stilig, med komfortable senger og praktisk møblement. Badet var rent og passe stort, og inneholdt en skikkelig hårføner (ikke de dårlige som sitter fast i veggen som mange hoteller har), shampoo, balsam, håndsåpe og dusjsåpe av parfymeri-kvalitet. Det var badekåper til alle, og håndklær i flere størrelser. Wi-Fi-en fungerte eksemplarisk, vi fikk en egen smarttelefon med Islandsk abonnement som vi kunne ta med oss og bruke over hele landet, og vennlig, effektiv og kompetent hjelp i resepsjonen. Rommet hadde ingen minibar, og ikke noe kjøleskap, men det var vannglass på badet og tekniker og kopper på rommet. Frokosten var nydelig, med både varm og kald mat, søt bakst, frokostblandinger, frukt og grønnsaker. Frokostbordet hadde veganske melkealternativer. Restauranten hadde også god mat og service. Vi var tre voksne, en i tyveårene og to i sekstiårene som delte rom. Alle var fornøyde med oppholdet. Kakeutvalget i restauranten bør prøves!

The hotel provides a complimentary cellphone during the stay for loval calls and data. The hotel was also able to arrange for a taxi to port.

I appreciate having the hotel in a central location such that shopping and dining can be conducted on foot. That staff is friendly and competent. The rims are modest but function nicely.

Our location is a real asset, however finding parking on the street can be difficult. It is best to park in one of the nearby parking garages both located only 300 meters away each holding over 200 parking spots. We hope you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future.

Very well located hotel, but still quiet despite being on a busy street. Bed was very comfortable and had an excellent night’s sleep. Left for an early flight so couldn’t try breakfast.

We had a comfortable stay here. The staff were welcoming, the room was spacious and clean and the location was very convenient for walking around the city centre. A disappointment was the bed which appeared to sag on one side. However we advised staff upon checkout and they were going to look into it. Like most hotels in the city centre you need to park on the street and be mindful of parking costs.

The Alda is in a perfect location, on the "high street" and close to everything, but not noisy and feels very safe. The rooms are not fancy, but clean and comfortable. I could have used a dresser or just a few drawers. The Brass restaurant downstairs was great, and their breakfast was yummy and fresh. The staff were unfailingly helpful, with a special shout-out to the hardworking Ursula. We would happily stay again.

Absolutely love this hotel. My favorite hotel in Reykjavik. My sister recently stayed here and loved it! Rooms are so cozy. Clean, comfy beds and beautiful stay. Fantastic staff! Incredible hotel.

Great little hotel in the heart of Reykjavik, Perfect locale to walk around town. Hotel offers a nice restaurant and overall accommodations. if driving, street parking is available as well as a close municipal parking. Staff is lovely.
