«The property served our needs for a one night stay in Caroga Lake. Finding the place was a bit of a nightmare. We had no wireless service in the area and the host did not provide very good directions. As we had no cell phone service, we could not call the host. We ended up going to the pist office and we were fortunate that a gentleman who was picking up his mail helped direct us to the unit otherwise we would have never found it. «The description and pictures on the listing unfortunately did not match what we encountered. The house appeared clean, beds were comfortable, however that is where the good ends. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with overflowing and stinky trash cans from the previous guests right near the front door. Flies and bees swarming. «My Family had a wonderful time at the lake house . The host Shayna was amazing! So attentive and helpful, the house was beautifully clean , and the lake sunsets amazing every night by the campfire. There is a giant private backyard great for dogs . I 100% recommend. You can walk down the road to the Lazy Bear for ice cream for desert, what more can you ask for . «Cons:When we first walked in to the rental the first thing we smelled was the stench of cigarette smoke!!! We bought fragrance spray but didn't work. There were two in window air conditioners that were not sealed. Because of that the rental was infested with mosquitos and other little flying bugs that were attracted to the inside lights and us! «Harry was such a pleasure to work things out with; I had planned a trip and ended up rather late on it, but had zero issues with communicating and getting the whole thing sorted. Great vibes and very reminiscent of farmland across the country.
