«Clean and comfortable room. A lot of TV-channels. Fully equipped kitchen. Might look a bit dated on the pictures both inside and in common areas (pool), but doesn't feel so bad when you're there. Also neighbour resort is a sister resort. Their facilities and restaurant (which is nicer) are available and you can even charge your room. Road to San Pedro is under improvement. As of today about 2/3 of the way is fixed. Making a trip to town on a bike no problem. All in all a good stay.»

«Our first time back in Belize in 18 years . Umaya was the perfect place. The views over the lagoon towards the Maya mountains are perfect backdrop after a day at the beach and pool. The staff were great, very helpful with booking trips etc. The restaurant is excellent and the wood burning Pizzeria provides a great alternative. We will be back »

«We have been staying at Grand Colony for years. The reason we keep returning is the convenience of walking down the beach to the dive shop, having a full size kitchen and individual bedrooms for everyone. There are no amenities to speak of. No restaurant, no bar, no spa, the beach chairs have seen better days but so has the beach. The sea grass is nothing Grand Colony can help but it does make the ocean unswimable. «My friend and I booked a stay at “Muna” guest house for this stay. The house was very beautiful and had all amenities you would need! However, when booking, it did not seem to specify in an obvious way that this house would be off of the resort (about a 3-5 minute walk) so this surprised us. Even though it is off the resort you still can use all resort amenities though. Other than that, the guest house was clean, quiet, and beautiful with tons of birds and wildlife around. »
