Clean and comfortable
I visited my daughter who is a student at the University of Reading. After our day trips, House of Fisher was the perfect place to rest my aching feet and get ready for the next adventure. It is clean, comfortable and has everything one needs.The location was perfect. I will definitely stay there again.

A great new find!
Very friendly front desk staff. The room was a bit light in the morning with the sun coming through the blinds but the apartment was very good and I will definitely stay again. Recommended to other colleagues already

Will stay again!
Near to railway station, high street and shopping area. Reception staff is helpful with smiling face, clean room with lot of space. Only one small thing is inside the bathing area there is no holder for a bottle of liquid soap and hair wash.

This is my second time to stay in this service apartment. It is very convenient, walking distance to town centre and railway station. Reasonable price for overnight parking.

Bad experience - not really a hotel
Very bad experience. Arrived and elevators weren't working so had to take luggage up four flights of stairs. Arrived back at 12:15 am one night and key didn't work, and nobody was at the front desk so I couldn't get in to go to bed. Tried calling a phone number on a placard on the desk that I could barely make out - but no one answered. Had to go to another hotel to get a room and sleep.

Hi Donald, I am really sorry to read about your experience at 100 Kings Road, this is not the standards we aspire too and would consider the norm for our guest. The lifts have been out of service recently however are back up and running now, this was something we had no control over unfortunately. We have also updated the literature with the Guest Services contact details to avoid a repeat of this kind of scenario. Although it must be mentioned that we did not receive any calls until someone called on your behalf, from an external line and your call would have been answered from the intercom (had we been able to dial the number when you arrived back to the building). Even if you had called any House of Fisher available on the website, this would have been diverted to and answered by a member of our team who could have helped at the time. I do apologies profusely for the shortcomings, but I hope that if the lift was working and the number was clearly displayed on the intercom (as it now is) that you would consider returning. I like the space and location, it spacious and convenient, just if you still there longer, the condition inside are good, but when you stay there more than a week or up to, most of the things you need to refill by yourself. if they advise when the time I move in, I will be fine for that, sometimes you missing somethings and ask for help and they advise you should get it yourself that seem quite bad feeling....

Very good stay
Excellent staff and very good services. Air con (warm air) did not work well on first night but a covertor heater had been arranged to my room immediately. Dusty duster not work well and then a new one replacement very soon. Spacious apartment, good kitchen, very convenient location.

My room was spacious and had a well-equipped kitchen. The friendly staff was available to answer my questions (and help order a taxi!) 24/7. There were plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.

I use 100 kings road a lot for work. They are the best apartments in reading in my experience. The rooms are well equipped and the Breakfast cereal and snacks are a nice bonus. Some Rooms are better than others. The rear facing rooms are a little quieter. I have had a few times where the rooms has noise fans, or slightly odd smells. But overall, i would recommend it.
