While the property itself is beautiful, the rooms on the family side felt VERY outdated. The floors were noticeably dirty, which made me extremely uncomfortable allowing my toddler to crawl or play on the floor.
I was honestly surprised by the overall experience, especially since we chose this resort based on the many glowing reviews about service and food. Unfortunately, neither lived up to expectations. Interactions with staff often felt strained, and even very simple requests seemed like an inconvenience. Something as basic as getting a highchair at the buffet or receiving clean towels required repeated follow-ups and, at times, tracking someone down to ask again.
Check-in was also unnecessarily long and frustrating. After a full travel day, all we wanted to do was drop our bags and feed our toddler, but the process took over 35 minutes. To make matters worse, when we finally arrived at our room, our key cards hadn’t been activated.
We’re a very easy-going family and didn’t have high expectations, our goal was simply to swim, enjoy decent food, and relax. Instead, the experience felt far more frustrating than it needed to be, which was disappointing given the reputation of the resort.
