This review is for the unplanned "extra 3 days" part of our 2026 trip to Colonial. This is our 2nd Colonial trip and our 3rd time to Majestic in Punta Cana. We absolutely love everything about Colonial...it's the best bargain in Punta Cana all-inclusives. The rooms (will be all new by November of 2026) are spacious and clean. Our room had an amazing pool/ocean view. Housekeeping was great, and our climate control was perfect. Hot water was hot immediately. We were close the VIP Club lounge, which is fantastic...food, beverages always available, along with coffee/espresso, etc. Our butler Agapito was amazing. He made our trip so easy, and helped us stay in our room for 3 extra days when our flights were cancelled due to a blizzard back home. We spent our days at the beach and the Club pool and swim-up bar, where our favorite bartender ever, Leandro, kept us laughing and smiling (and drinking) all afternoon. His sidekick Minerva is so sweet and charming. They are a fantastic duo. Hanskell at the club pool towel bar is an up-and-coming Majestic superstar. So friendly and well-spoken, he wants to be a butler like his older brother. He will make a great butler. We ate the majority of our meals at the Rodeo (steak restaurant by night, buffet for breakfast and lunch) and Alejandro became our best friend. He is so friendly and made us feel right at home...he found out I am a firefighter and told me he is also a firefighter in the DR, so we hit it right off.

Another amazing trip to Majestic Colonial. This is our third trip to Majestic and our second visit at Colonial. Again, it was fabulous. The resort was clean and tidy. Our room was clean. Climate control was great, bed was comfy, hot water was hot, the shower spacious, housekeeping was on spot. Our butler Agapito was fantastic from day one through day 10. In fact, we only booked for 7 days, but a snowstorm at home cancelled our flight and Agapito worked with the front desk to allow us to stay 3 extra days. The food was great, drinks were awesome. Our favorite bartender, Leandro at the Club side pool bar, was amazing as always, as was his sidekick Minerva. Always happy, always smiling. We love them. Alejandro at the Rodeo restaurant was amazing morning, afternoon and night. He made our meals even better. We met an incredible young man, Hanskell, working the towel counter at the club pool bar. So friendly and hard-working...he wants to be a butler one day and is well on his way. We are looking forward to the renovations that will start at Colonial soon (new rooms!) and will be back in February of 2027. We won't go anywhere but Majestic...they do everything right!

Our stay at Majestic Mirage Punta Cana was truly outstanding. Traveling from Canada, this was my sister’s and my first time in the Dominican Republic, and we couldn’t have chosen a better resort for our introduction to this beautiful country. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well cared for. We were especially fortunate to have SANYEL MONTERO as our butler. He was extremely professional, kind, and attentive, and you could clearly see how passionate he is about his work. Sanyel went above and beyond our expectations, taking excellent care of us throughout our entire stay. He anticipated our needs, checked in regularly, and made sure every detail was perfect. His service truly made our vacation extra special. The food was fantastic, offering a wide variety of high-quality options at every restaurant. The amenities were impressive, with beautiful pools and well-maintained facilities. The beach was breathtaking — soft white sand, clear turquoise waters, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax and fully enjoy every moment. Overall, the experience was absolutely worth it. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to returning. I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Punta Cana.

I was so excited to visit this resort but make sure to read all the reviews as I could have saved so much money by going somewhere else instead. First of all the we got food poisoning the first two days, from the lobster in the buffet and the hibachi restaurant. The food was soo bad. The only decent food is the stuff from breakfast but even then I found a hair in the scrambled eggs one day. Make sure to drink bottled water as well. The room was kind of nasty as well and we had to constantly call them every morning to ask for new towels, or water bottles or anything. Our rooms were not also cleaned daily even though we left tips daily in our room. The extra star is for the amazing bartender in the second beach bar who was amazing. The Bavarro cultural tour was also an amazing excursion that is a must try and the highlight of the trip. Even the food we had on the excursion was probably the best food I had throughout the whole trip. The room was also tooo cold and even the highest temp was still cold. We had to wear multiple layers and socks to sleep comfortably and even so we could not sleep properly. Also the walls are very thin, so prepare to be woken up multiple times in the night by people yelling and fighting outside or cats meowing. It also felt like the staff was not tje most professional at points, as they would be yelling across the restaurants and loudly laughing and making comments about guests I think. I wish I had gone to a different resort instead.

This was our 5th time to Punta Cana but our 1st time to Mejestic Colonial. We finally may have a resort we will return to! Our butler Baldimil did an awesome job!!! he was a great help in making reservations especially help me with setting up a anniversary dinner on the beach for my wife!!! Baldimil continuously checked in on us even when he was off for the birthday of his son, he continued to checking on us several times a day. the staff were friendly and plite, another outstanding worker was July at the club pool bar. Our room was clean and cleaned daily and fresh towels were delivered in the room every nighy. The food at the restaurant and buffet is very good. The pools and beach were nice with plenty of lougnger. Our room was dated but I heard they are planning an remodel of them. The shows weren't up to par hope they are redone with the remodel. On vender night the vendors are pushy and when my wife said no thank you he called her rude. This is unacceptable!!!! Overall we had a great time and will return to see the new updates next year! Thanks again to Baldimil!!!

We stayed 7 nights at this all-inclusive resort and overall had a great experience. The property was clean and well maintained, our room was comfortable, and there was a good variety of food options. The only downside was inconsistent service at the buffet — some wait staff were excellent, while others seemed less attentive, especially during busy times. Overall, it was a relaxing stay and we would consider returning.

This was our first all inclusive and Majestic Colonial did not disappoint. The beaches were absolutely gorgeous. The large quantity of clean pools was a delight. Food from one end of the resort to the other had a variety for all pallets. But the Club side Butler was phenomenal. Alberto treated us like royalty.

The resort was clean and well kept, the rooms were a little dated, but also clean. Overall, food was excellent, and service was as well. We loved the long sprawling pool and even though it was full it didn’t feel overcrowded. We definitely recommend it, especially after we heard there will be renovations beginning in April 2026 it will definitely be the spot to be at in Punta Cana!

Overall it was a decent resort, food was very mediocre, I had mentioned to them it was my birthday and expected some sort of celebration but none was provided even though we saw other rooms having birthday signs and celebrations. Our host did not check in with us more than once or twice. Nice resort but would not come back again.

The staff at Majestic Colonial have made this experience truly a wonderful time. We had flight cancellations and the staff here were very accommodating and understanding. They were able to find us space right here in the resort. The resort itself is beautiful and has a good selection of food and activities. The animation team works so hard to make their guests have fun, they truly are the best: especially Panda and Honey! This was our first time here and we will definitely be coming back!

Food is not that great! The breakfast was the worst no matter were you went it was burnt eggs and soggy or rubbery hash browns, the burgers are pre done with non toasted buns and cold cheese not melted hot dogs are cold with cold buns! Dinners not much better not many choices! 3 days of that food was more than enough!

The resort and grounds are attractive, clean and well kept. The room however is in need of updating, it's showing it's age. We stayed in a swim up suite which was nice. Bed was comfy, but didn't appreciate housekeeping knocking on door to ask if we needed anything. They barged in more than once, which seemed odd to me. We had one whole day at resort to relax and other days had trips planned, which was perfect, otherwise I would see myself bored staying there. Food at the buffet was decent, big variety. The crowd was a bit older which was fine since I am also. Staff was very friendly, we had a nice stay for 4 nights.
