We had a terrifying experience. During the middle of the night the person in the adjoining room was trying to pick the lock to enter our room. All but 4 of the suites at this hotel have connecting doors to the adjoining suites. My wife was sleeping next to the door without her hearing aid. I was sleeping in the second bed. Thank god I had turned off the air conditioning because it was noisy or I probably wouldn't have been woken up by the person picking the lock. I banged on the door and yelled at him stop. Total silence after that. I called the front desk and told the person someone from the adjoining room was trying to pick the lock open to our suite. He said he would call security. I asked him to have them come talk to me. We didn't here any noises coming from the adjoining suite. About 30 minutes later I went down to the front desk and spoke with the attendant. He said he tried calling the guest but he didn't pick up and it's too late at night to do anything. I asked if he could call the police. He said he was probably just drunk and we'll have our security deal with it. I said this was someone who was trying to pick the lock. Who does that? What was he going to do to us if he got through the door? He kept saying it was late and we'll talk to him in the morning. I asked for another suite. He said one of the 4 private rooms would be free later today. Of course we didn't sleep all night. I spoke to the manager who told me the same thing. They didn't do anything to help us.
