Room was beautiful, grounds were lovely, staff was friendly, area was safe and walkable. Spa and fitness center were great. Beach was beautiful. A few things to know—it’s eco-friendly, which is great, but that means no water bottles—you get three glass carafes in your room which sometimes get filled by staff, sometimes you need to fill yourself. The kitchen is not stocked; you can ask for pots and pans and utensils if you need to cook, however there are no kitchen towels or washcloths, paper towels, dinner plates, dish soap, forks or knives stocked in the kitchen. They give you four coffee cups and saucers, four spoons, and four glasses. If you spill something, you have to use a bath towel to clean it up. Housekeeping will wash your dishes each day and put them on the counter to dry. One day I was happy to see they had brought a kitchen towel to put the wet cups on to dry—imagine my surprise when I found that it was a pillow case. They used it two days in a row, not dried out in between, and the cups smelled sour. So I put it in the washing machine so they wouldn’t use it again. Bring your own detergent to wash clothes as none was provided, other hotels I’ve stayed provided a few.
Food was fine but lunch got repetitive. No swim-up bar, no coffee/pastry shop. There’s a pay Starbucks at sister resort. Singers at the show/mariachi were great. Overall relaxing and quiet here, beautiful large rooms, with sister resort Emotions more lively with swim up bars and pool entertainment.
