«The Lighthouse Assistant House #4 was a fantastic vacation home for a family. The house is very clean and roomy. The kitchen is very well-equipped which makes for easy family meal prep. The house is in an ideal location for whale watching and hiking as well beautiful scenery for photography. There is lots to do for the whole family. A great place for a get-a-way for the family. The hosts are very responsive, with an easy check-in process. I highly recommend.»

7. Secluded Ocean-View Retreat: Coastal Gualala Home

Gualala

«Really beautiful property. The kitchen is incredible. The amenities are perfect. The views are absolutely stellar. Property manager Wendy is helpful, responsive and very nice. Only two suggestions. Upstairs analog/digital hybrid shower is complex and needs instructions. I figured it out eventually. And would have loved it if the outdoor hot tub was working. Still, minor blips in an otherwise perfect getaway. Will be back! »

«Maria was an amazing host, quick and easy communication, check in was a breeze, sweet as can be! She even gave us herbs from her garden, wine, EGGS from her chickens in addition to her well equipped home. The property is gorgeous on 10 acres of redwoods right by the coast, tranquil! A total vibe! More than big enough to accommodate our group of 10 with big open spaces and plenty of seating. AND on a clear day, you can see the ocean!»

«This home is so comfortable and spotlessly clean! I usually have a difficult time sleeping in new places but the bed and bedding was so cozy and it was so quiet I had no problem! The kitchen had everything we needed and the location is close to lots of good restaurants. This was a work trip for me so the only minor issues are the poor 5G signal from Verizon (not the hosts fault), the house WiFi showed “good” but was so slow for working that it was a bit difficult at times. They said they will be ...

«I was in town on business, solo traveler. The VRBO page shows a different neighborhood. I grew up here so I know the neighborhoods well. I picked it because it showed the house in a decent neighborhood. When I got the address, the day before checking in, I realized it was nowhere near the location advertised. That could be VRBO’s fault. It’s located on a very sketchy neighborhood, with homeless sleeping across and up the street. Next door is a lot with an old building and abandoned RVs. The back ...
