«Very nice unit with a comfortable living area to relax in, in addition to the bedroom. The back yard was available to sit outside and relax in which I did both mornings and one evening. Convenient to Victoria, 40 minutes away and closer attractions. Instructions to find and access were easy. Jerry was very pleasant to speak to.»

«The host was not around when we arrived even though we told her we would be arriving early. The grounds were run down and when we tried to contact her there was no wifi or cell coverage at that remote location. Because of poor communication and the run down appearance of the place we decided to stay elsewhere.»

«Cannot say enough about how much we love this place. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Bear Mountain getaway. The check in was smooth. The room was incredible. The environment was outstanding. We had a rough schedule because of what we ended up doing there but at night we were at ease. Rested well then move onto next day of another adventure. We are so grateful that we chose this place to rest.»

«We stayed for 3 nights at the dark horse. Brittany was quick to reply to any questions I had. The beds were very comfortable. The suite was spacious. The shower has a gap at the bottom so at times the bath mat would get saturatrd causing my feet and floor to be wet. There was an extra bath mat to use so it was no big deal.Overall very good place to stay. We enjoyed our time and would come back again.»

«Extremely good value! Property as described-rustic and clean. Spacious and well stocked. Nice swimming spot in the river, too. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars all around is that none of the windows in the house can be opened (except one, right beside the door). On two days of our visit it was quite hot, and it was difficult to cool the house down. There were several fans which was nice-we just opened the door wide and ran the fans before bedtime. Some more fresh air would have been ...

«While I loved the location and the amenities, I was surprised to learn it is a 2 bedroom suite with each room is rented separately. Fortunately the other room wasn't rented out but I find disingenuous to describe the space as private. The bedroom doors are feet apart, and it is likely you are sharing a 2 bedroom suite with strangers.»

«We felt right at home! This beautiful 3-bedroom suite was cozy, clean, and in a very convenient location. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The host was incredibly responsive and communication was excellent. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!»
