«Absolutely amazing stay for two nights. Host/owner is incredibly kind and helpful- even offered some honey/lemon for my sore throat! I stayed in the beautiful, clean room with the lovely, clean private bathroom with a fantastic tub. The private bathroom was located down a private hallway, which is so much nicer than having to go to/from it amongst other guests. «Stayed for one night as part of my walking trip. Was instantly made to feel comfortable and was offered a piece of cake, which was a lovely touch. The room was clean and large for a single and the bathroom was great. Breakfast was also lovely. For the price, it was excellent value. »

«Wonderful views and the feeling of being in The Lakes. Good spaces for walking the dog. Rooms are spacious and dog friendly with the inevitable trace of dog hairs on the divan bed. I stayed at this place on my way to Buttermere. It allowed an early start on quiet roads and was cheaper than staying in any of the towns en route. I did not eat in the hotel but the nearby services have hot breakfast rolls and good coffe. »
