«It was remote with almost no light pollution. You'll seldom see brighter stars. It had everything we needed. Understand that it is remote, even for remote. The host was great to deal with. The housing is exactly as listed...a farmhouse far from the road. It was comfy, it was cozy. It didn't have the frills some would like to see in a stay but it was perfect for my wife and me. You wont find as much for so little anywhere near Caprock.»

«My stay was spectacular. 1000/10. The pictures doesn't capture the beauty of this stay. We stayed for two days and honestly my stay at the boxcar was the best part of the trip. If you are second guessing go for it! Friendly dogs and beautiful horses as well. Becky also gave suggestions on things to do, she keeps the place clean comfy. she’s really a super host! «The Davis’ are very attentive and responsive hosts. The property is quaint, country cozy. The additional half bath was great to have in the morning when we were getting ready for the day. The setting is very tranquil and quiet. The deer were a pleasure to see each morning. Very importantly, we found the bed to be pretty comfortable. »
