From the pictures online, I thought this place looked awesome. However, upon arrival it’s in need of some refurbishment, replacement of furniture, and a good deep cleaning.
We were really excited about having our own pool and hot tub but were disappointed to find out dirty. There were no institutions on how to make the hot tub turn on, as it was pool temp. The place didn’t seem clean upon arrival either. Sinks in the bathroom seemed dirty, the counters didn’t seem cleaned off and everything just seemed pretty grimy. Especially the banister railing and patio door track. Yikes!
They need to provide basic necessities of a home and not expect guests to buy items that will never be used up in the stay allotted! For example, there was also only a small amount of toilet paper, 1/2 roll of paper towel, tiny bars of hand soap in bathrooms, no washcloths bathrooms, no laundry soap, no towels for pool and were instructed NOT to use bath towels so then we had to go buy them since they wouldn’t fit into luggage, no cleaning supplies whatsoever so we had to buy Clorox wipes just to tidy up what the cleaning service didn’t do. No salt and pepper or very basic seasoning, no hot pads, and no kitchen towels. To me, when you rent a home, some of these items should just be there especially when we’re paying a premium price to be there. There was no way to take all these things back with us, so we just left them there for the next guests.
I sent an email to the property manager on the 2nd day of our 11 day stay and never heard back from them on resolving anything. The person they hired to clean the pools just happened to be making the rounds to us and our neighbors on the third day, but otherwise I’d be willing to bet we’d just be stuck. Oh, and that person came unannounced, so all the sudden you looked out to the patio to see him outside! lol, one way to do it, I guess.
On the bright side, the location is in good proximity to the parks, which is what we spent our time doing. So, In that regard, this place was a good fit. Once the pool was clean, we enjoyed it.
