We stayed one night. Upon check-in, I swiped my card and the card reader showed approved, but the receptionist said on her end it did not go through. I showed her my bank app where the charge was pending, but she insisted I swipe again. After swiping a second time, that transaction went through—however, I was charged twice.
Since then, I’ve been stuck going back and forth between my bank and the hotel. The bank says I need to dispute it with the hotel, and the hotel says I need to contact the bank. It’s been frustrating trying to resolve something that happened during their check-in process.
Another thing to note: breakfast is $15 per person for a very basic breakfast that many other hotels include for free. Also, be careful with the water bottles in the room—they are $3 per bottle. I misunderstood the signage and thought some were complimentary, which was my mistake.
Aside from the billing issues, the room itself was decent and the hotel was quiet. However, the double charge and extra fees really impacted our experience.
