"Would stay here again if we need a place to sleep in Hamburg and are just passing by. Chose this hotel as it was more reasonable than hotels closer to downtown and we only needed a clean bed and a shower in safe surroundings before continuing our travels. Bus departing right outside the hotel towards the airport where we had our car parked in P11. We were are family of four that shared a room. We all had backpacks. If you all have medium to large suitcases the room might feel a little small. Parking seemed full, so might want to call ahead if arriving by car where one can park if the lot is full. "

"Our staying was for 5 night! First day in our room ,they were dust everywhere, secondly within the 5 night ,no cleaning was done during our stay which was awful, third on was, the TV was not working and they couldn't get no one to fix it. The room was superb, the breakfast was excellent but our last day 21st April there was no breakfast available because they dont open on Mondays. Our room was dusty we even had to do some cleaning ourselves. "

"big typical Ibis hotel, very close to the S1-bahn and stadion Barmbek, good correspondance to the central Station and the airport. Also U-bahn there. Hotel has a nice bar/restaurant, reception 24/7, and the rooms are nice with good beds. The windows can be opened, but my room had the S1-train so close that the sound was terrible, ok with closed Windows. No fridge or water heter. Breakfast ok, but very expensive, 18 Euro extra. Some nice restaurants, bars and cafes in the neighbourhood. I can recommend the pipular turkish NAAN. Without the trains it is a quiet district, not far from a big park. Barmbek is not the place to visit as a tourist i Hamburg though, but a good central stopover, 15 minutes from both airport/Flughafen and the central Station (hauptbahnhof) "
