«This was by far the worst experience ever in my life!! We had to change rooms twice due to bugs and disgusting floors. Patched walls and doors. No extra lock on door. Shower curtain rods falling off walls. Dirty towels and bedding. Disgusting!!!»

«I did not like anything. I had too go next door to sign in. I guess there was no staff at the Empress. The room smelled awefull. I had to go buy Lysol for the smell and the whole room smelled this way. I would never go back and stay there»

«Location was good. Parking was ample. Patio was nice to eat outside. Limited privacy. Our room was patio level, so convenient but no view. The room was clean, but the carpet looked scary. Wore flip flops the entire time. The bedding was spotless, but mattress was uncomfortable. Ice machine was broken, which required a walk to another building for ice. Budget friendly, no thrills, good location.»

«If you’re just staying a night or two it’s a good spot, right on the boardwalk, the staff was nice and check in was easy. That being said, our room was extremely damp and musty and it stunk bad, all of our clothing and belongings smell like an old basement now, the shower and toilet are extremely small, and the sink was leaking. They haven't updated the look of the place (the bathroom still has the old heat lamp with a timer!), but everything was super clean, the room was large, the bed was comfortable and the furniture clean, and the AC was quiet and worked well. «It’s a decent motel for the price we paid last minute. I mean I wasn’t expecting to find any vacancy under $115 at least but I scrolled upon the white marlin motel and they happened to have 2 double beds available for under $100 plus they were in walking distance to the boardwalk and beach… but they do charge a refundable deposit fee i failed to notice before booking as well as a $15 parking spot.
