Do we have our differences? Boy, you bet we do. Are they reconcilable? I sure hope so. But, on this day, we can all point back to a place and time when that was all still true, and, for some strange reason, it did not matter. We were the United States, not a conglomeration of battling fiefdoms. Or, more correctly, we were both. But we all saw the common good as clearly and as distinctly as if it were written on the sky. Happy Birthday, America! Every year we get a chance to come together and to put our differences aside. Here's hoping that one day, we find a way to do it for good.

Staff was super friendly, rooms were perfectly clean and stocked and the hotel was clean and had no weird smells. We enjoyed our stay completely and will be back.

Most reviews here make this out to be insanely good for the price. I will say I think they are exaggerated, but this place was about what you’d expect for the price point in the middle of nowhere. It was just fine, it worked well for the cheapest night’s stay possible. But it will not impress ...

The smoke alarm started beeping around 1am. No one at the counter at checkout. I had to call them on the phone to get someone to come over.
