We were very pleased to see 24 hour a day security in the front and beach side of the building. We extend our highest praise for the front desk staff. «Couldn’t recommend Hotel Bosque del Mar enough if you’re looking for a more private, quiet style of stay. It’s the perfect mix of jungle and beach access. The beach is beautiful, clean, and feels very private. «Not very hacienda style design. Poor food, nothing to do beside being at the pool or in the standard pool. Beach ok to look at, but can't really use it or swim in the sea. Could be anywhere, far from anything resembling the real Costa Rica. Offering extremely expensive transportation to airport, added another 165 usd to the bill for a 45 min drive in the early morning in a worn out Toyota Lancruiser. But beautiful view to the Pacific.
