«The host was extremely attentive to any questions or needs. Excellent and immediate communication. Good, quiet location between Islip airport and Port Jefferson. The size of the unit was very adequate for two people. Bathroom was clean and adequately stocked with towels and wash cloths.The reason for 2 stars is we thought the apartment was not very clean from floor to ceiling. This apartment has huge potential to be very cute. In my option, it needs an entire over haul.»

«Our stay at this property was extremely disappointing. We received no check-in instructions and had no idea where to go upon arrival. A man washing a car in the driveway (not the host) directed us down a side yard and into a basement unit (never mentioned in the listing). There was no cell service, so we had to stand outside just to contact the host.The keypad lock didn’t work, and after multiple messages, the host told us not to worry because “the caretaker would make sure no one goes in.” This ...

«Very clean house and nice proprietor. A small breakfast of coffee and pastry is even provided, which is very sweet. Close to the 95 without being loud, and the house feels very safe.Would recommend staying here, especially for the price. Two things I would flag (none of them dealbreakers at all—just information for those that might need it): (1) the very nice host will meet you and show you to your room. If you are arriving late, that is something you should flag since alternative arrangements ...

The location however was near a depot where the local sanitation company keeps its trucks, which meant you would hear the trucks leaving the depot very early in the morning (probably around 5 am).
