«From the very first time we arrived in Asuka, on to the house. We were surprised by it's magic. The village is so serene, near by all the amenities we needed from walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, and train station. The house itself is absolutely magical. It's like a fairy tail. We arrived right when the autumn color burst out their magnificent red, orange, and gold. «We had a lovely time here! We were travelling by public transport, and this spot is a little of out of the way, but they sent a shuttle to the train station and it was easy to arrive. It was not clear from their website that the restaurant would not be open for dinner, and the closest restaurant by foot (other than McDonald's) was a 30 minute walk away. That was no problem; we had a nice walk, a great dinner, and really loved the onsen!»

«Beautiful peaceful ryokan with the full Japanese experience. We loved both of the bookable bathhouses- great after a chilly day in the Deer Park. The kaiseki dinner in your own private adjoining dining room was beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were all very lovely. Highly recommend. »

«Fun experience in a traditional Japanese hotel. The dinner and lunch were great. Being right in the park made it super easy to visit the temple and feed the deer. The public bath is on the smaller side, but does the job. They called us a cab to the train station when we checked out which was nice. »

«The hotel has great ammenities and the room service options have a ton of variety. It was nice having a massage chair and jacuzzi tub in the room. It was the largest room my husband and I stayed in throughout our travels in Japan as well.»

"Phenomenal spa experience with unforgettable views. Recommend the executive lounge access if you like to drink alcohol but not so much if not, because there isn’t much food selection. "
"Meget behjelpelig og hyggelig personale. De ringte f.eks. neste hotell på turen for å sjekke om oppbevaring av bagasje når vi skulle på en liten omtur. Tilbudet seg å booke spiseplasser også. God sentral plassering i rolige omgivelser og nærme masse templer. "
"Great location, tasty breakfast and overall good service. Room standard was good, though the layout felt unusual — the bathtub sat more or less in the middle of the room."

"We had booked a suite and were really looking forward to our stay but were very disappointed with this hotel. The air condition did not work and we were not taken seriously by the hotel. The staff did not speek English so this may have something to do with it. We also asked for softer pillows and got «no» in response. If you Value air condition then I would not book this hotel. We ended up getting sick from the heat as this was in July. "
