«The room was really nice. I arrived fairly late in the evening and the owner was there waiting for my arrival. I didn't do much, just needed a dinner, so the owner dropped me off at an area where i can eat. Early the next morning I left for a 4 day tour. My only problem was that there was no hot water for showering....waited 10 mins and it never got hot, just cold water.»

«The Apartment is amazing, and must be one of the best on the beachfront. Easy walking distance to the Beach, to the Tug and Jetty Restaurants and to good bars. The apartment itself is very spacious with great furnishings and well looked after. I'd definitely stay there again anytime. Negatives were small, like the TV was not big and the wifi slow, but we did not really spend that much time using those in any case. «We only stayed at the property for one night as a stopover between tours. The place is nice and very conveniently located within walkable distance to the few sights there are to see in Windhoek, and some restaurants and coffee shops. I got e-mails with two different unit numbers so there was some confusion at the check-in which one was the correct one. Also, the electric meter was not "filled up" so the security person had to contact the property manager to do that in order for us not to run out ...

«We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Barend's property. It was clean, spacious and well furnished. The beds and couch were very comfortable. We especially appreciated how well the air conditioning worked since we rarely experienced that at the other lodges around Namibia. The guard to The Village was helpful too. «Communicating with the host was frustrating. An hour before arrival there was still back and forth communication because she did not have the booking due some issue with her Vrbo account. Booking was made for 3 guests, bedding was only provided for 2 guests. Requested additional bedding, only duvet and pillows delivered at 9am, no sheets. Give this property a miss if you want to avoid frustration and poor service. »
