«Great old hotel, with a fantstic location. The chateau may trusts its historical pedigree and past glory a little too much. The rooms (at least ours) might need a makeover. This goes for the ambience in general and the bathroom with it's in tub shower.
It is absolutely shocking that you have to pay for WiFi separately in 2023. In my experience it is only a handful of hotels in the entire world that still requires such payments, and they are usually well below the Chateau Laurier ...

«Polite and positive service in the reception. Got an upgrade to a large two room suite with a nice view over the park.
Breakfast (for the american standard) was very good with helthy choices of vegetarian and meat dishes, nuts greens etc. and a lovely choices of take away hot dishes if you are on the run»
