«I was in need of a hotel room at relatively short notice for a basketball tournament that I was refereeing. I came across the Finger Lakes Inn as it was just a short drive away from where the tournament was being held. Nestled in the Adirondack, it is a pleasant and quaint place to stay. If you like the modern "cookie cutter" hotels this is not it. The rooms have a "cabin in the woods" feel to them, and I mean that is a very good way. «We came in the off season and the place was empty. We were the only guests the entire weekend. The bar and restaurant were not open and there was no staff on site. As such there was no continental breakfast as listed. It was quiet at night and heard birds singing in the morning which was nice. The room was relatively comfortable and warm but there was a good amount of dust under the furniture. The bed was thin but firm and comfortable but there were only two thin pillows for two guests.
