«Food both breakfast and evening meal were excellent. All staff were excellent and really wanted the stay to be special for us. The room was good and the pillows were clearly new and helped us sleep. The check in closing at 22.00 might cause a problem to some people and the only other problem was it appeared to be a bit tired in corridors but rooms were fine»

«A lovely old world pub, the highest in Britain. Lovely ambience, cosy bar areas and nice rooms. Just a few scruffy areas like the carpet going up to the accommodation and the ceiling and floor of the bathroom sliding door area. However it is understandable with being a busy pub with people with work boots and walking boots constantly in and out. The food was good, with lots of choice and well cooked.
