We initially stayed at the sister property The Swan in Tarporley where staff were outstanding but at The Lion we were greeted in what can only be described as very patronising, unwelcoming and brusque, by who we understand to be Beth. We were shown to a room that was classed as executive but had clearly had a major leak in the bathroom as paint was peeling away ...

«Have stayed here numerous times, Food is good & comfortable room.»

«Fantastisk stort og vakkert slott. Servicen var ikke så god. Staben var for få mennesker og mange var unge og uerfarne. »

«Beautiful room the brilliant evening meal and breakfast»

«A lovely place with all the amenities»

«What a lucky find. Situated in a beautiful area of the Welsh countryside. Stayed overnight weather was awful but the property was cosy and kept to a very high standard. Breakfast was freshly made & very tasty. A big thank you to the hosts Heather & Neil who made us feel welcome. Will definitely be returning. Julie & John.»
