This is an amazing place to stay , there really is nowhere else quite like it . Rooms are lovely and in keeping with a castle and the grounds are beautiful. Breakfast is excellent. Can’t wait to stay again.

Amazing setting and beautiful grounds Great place for wedding celebrations However the rooms were rather small with limited facilities for the price paid. Breakfast times restricted to 8-10 , would extend to accommodate guests’needs. Also a bit disappointing you had to pay a supplement to have half of the items on the menu

Hotel is beautiful and very well maintained and clean. Lady on check-in was brilliant, friendly and helpful, I informed her that I would be going out to work a night shift and coming back in the early hours, she said that fine hotel stays open and that there was a night porter. I went to work and on return found the hotel gates were closed with no bell or intercom. Phone the hotel no answer, wait for a hour, no answer. Went around the back of the property and found a delivery entrance with a intercom but again no answer again waiting another hour, then a delivery van came at 05:30 and told me the access code for the delivery entrance. On check-out a different lady asked if I’d enjoyed my stay to which I explained what had happen, she was very dismissive and acted like this was not a problem or inconvenience with no apologies, when asked she replied “what do you want me to do I wasn’t there” and was extremely rude. Lovely hotel, some great staff but just don’t leave the premises at night if you want to get back in.

Went for afternoon tea which was lovely. Also stayed the weekend and dined in both the bistro and restaurant. Lovely food and tasing menu with wine flight was a great experience. Staff were really good too.

The staff were all very helpful, the room was very clean with good facilities. Only difficulty I had being slightly disabled was I found the shower extremely slippery to use a non slip mat would have been useful. Food was excellent

Some like the uniformity of a Hotel chain, I prefer to take a risk on something quirky and Peckforton Castle did not disappoint! Perched on the top of hill surrounded by a forest, from the Gatehouse into the courtyard this was stunning and a fabulous place to rest for a night. My bedroom was in a tower and although small it was charming and themed around Alice ( see pic ) The restaurant was pleasant although I chose to eat outside as - well, why wouldn't you? And wandering around the Great Hall and wine cellar ( now a bar ) gave me an appetite for well cooked food and great service. I slept really well ( unusual for me ) and woke to a proper breakfast, freshly cooked and served at table... Old fashioned service but made the stay! I will be back, my wife is not amused that she didn't get to share the memorable experience.

Came for a wedding, and what a stunning venue! Be aware that the carpark is a short walk from the castle itself (for those wearing heels - there is gravel and a hill!), although people/luggage can be dropped off at reception. The building can appear a bit of a maze, but is incredible - had a great time exploring after a very tatsy breakfast (only got slightly lost!). Room was a good size, comfy bed, and surprisingly good water pressure in the shower!

And absolutely breathtaking and outstanding stay at Peckforton Castle… The suite was absolutely incredible on the fine dining experience. Share perfection… Stuff are superbly professional it is like going back in time but with a contemporary edge Highly recommended…

Stayed at this hotel once before but there will not be a third time. Check in staff was not helpful when asked about disabled parking. The car park is a fair walk from the hotel which only has 2 spaces for the whole place which was full. She finally reluctantly let us park out side the building and due to a wedding said she would make a note for other staff to be aware. This was not the case which came to light the following morning when I went to check out and a different young lady on the reception was even more unhelpful. Repeating all the questions I was asked at check in. Who I booked with, had I paid, credit card the list goes on... Both theses members of staff really need more training in customer care especially when dealing with people with disabilities.... they seemed more interested in the wedding party guests. Regards food I cannot comment as breakfast was not included. Cleanliness of room was only adequate there was a stain on the throw at the bottom of the bed, light bulbs not working in the main ceiling light making an already dark room even darker and no heating. No I didnt say anything as I was too exhausted by this stage and will never be returning.
