Hotellet var veldig rent, lå sentralt og hadde godt rom ( vi hadde et superior). Vi hadde rom mot gågata, og særlig morgenene var travle der. Med søppelbiler som laget bråk og biler som fraktet varer. Men det var det eneste å sette fingeren på, så velges det et rom som ikke er mot gata er det kanskje litt mindre støy. Men er jo tross alt en stor, aktiv by å bo i!!

Sentralt beliggende hotell med hjelpSinne ansatte.
Sentralt beliggende hotell. Veldig bra renhold og blide ansatte. En del av hotellet var modernisert, og disse delene var veldig fine. Vi hadde et rom i 5.etasje som ikke var pusset opp. Det levde vi likevel fint med.

We loved everything about this property – it was fun and trendy, and in an amazing location next to tons of options for dining and shopping. There were always taxis nearby and it was quick to get an Uber to go anywhere. The staff was great and the buffet included in our rate was very good and that staff was incredible. We would absolutely return!!!

Goed was locatie. Kamer op zich best goed, maar een safe op vloerniveau heb ik nog nooit mee gemaakt en wil ook niet meer meemaken. Loop tegen de 70 en dan op je knieën de kluis vullen en legen, is gewoon niet handig. Wat ik ook niet begrijp is volgens mij deze kamer geschikt was voor langer verblijf. Weet niet wie dat vond, maar onze kamer had geen kast of laden. Dus uit de koffer leven is n.m.m. geschikt voor short stay.

We stayesd 4 night here. We LOVED IT. Everything was excellent. The staff was ultra friendly. The beds were very comfortable and very, very quiet, even though there was a festival going on outside our hotel. The staff were very helpful to get to every single one of our needs. Breakfast was really good and overall, it was a fantastic day. We will definitely come back!

Me gusto mucho el trato, la ubicación, nos hicieron up grade, lo que NO me gusto , es que según por “modernidad “ el baño no tiene puerta hacia la habitación , a mi me parece muy desagradable! Stayed here for three nights, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Every single staff member was exceptional; professional, friendly and kind. Our room was fantastic; great bathroom and we loved the wooden shutters looking out over the street. We were on the 5th floor, and didn't hear much street noise. Heard noises from down the corridor, but nothing abnormal for such a large hotel. Breakfast options were fantastic; lots of pastries, hot and cold options, and something to suit all tastes. There was a coffee machine, but it only seemed to serve decaf coffee throughout our stay. Great selection of juices. The hotel was beautiful and we are so glad we stayed in this particular location; it was very walkable to all of the main sites, and although it was located on a busy, thriving street, it didn't feel as tourist-y as the neighbouring areas (e.g., Grand Via, where we also looked initially for hotel options). This was more towards the expensive end of the hotels we were looking at, but we couldn't fault a thing, and somewhat regret booking a much cheaper hotel next to the airport for our final night (in retrospect we would have preferred to be at Hotel Francisco I for one extra night, and utilised their airport shuttle service). Thank you to all of the staff for making this such an excellent stay. We highly recommend.

Hotel Francisco I is a great property! It is a clean, quiet, well appointed oasis in the heart of a bustling city. It is situated in the heart of historic Madrid on the pedestrian portion of calle del Arenal and is a short walk to many places of interest. Our room and bed were very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that breakfast was included and we enjoyed both the food and the setting. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The property is a beautiful boutique hotel with very friendly staff. Location is very good with many dining options as well as proximity to 2 Metro stations (Opera and Sol). We were able to walk to the shopping area of Gran Via. Please note though that you have to walk just a little bit to reach the hotel as there's no car/taxi/Uber that can stop right in front of the hotel.

Hotel was nice. Light switch in room 608 sounded like the electricity was going haywire every time we turned on the light surrounding the bed.

Hotel ligt midden in de stad. Alles op loopafstand . Hotel is schoon . Bedden zijn slecht, slecht geslapen. Kussen zijn niet oké. Het deken ligt tussen 2 lakens waardoor je het deken ‘s nachts kwijt bent . Het was ‘s nachts koud in Madrid. Airco werkte niet op warm. Uiteindelijk is er een verwarmings element op de kamer gezet. Prijs, kwaliteit hotel niet goed !

This is a beautiful hotel that I enjoyed staying. Great location, 3 minutes to Mayor Plaza and 5 minutes to Plaza De Sol. very friedly staff, breakfast is awesome. Most of all, the hotel has the best decorations which no other hotels can be even close. Highly recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely come back!

An extremely well-run boutique hotel in an amazing location. 5 mins from Plaza Mayor and Opera house. 10 min to Palace and many excellent shops and cafes all around. Well deserving 9/10 or better rating. Regarding the occasional comment about taxis not delivering you to front door, from what I saw, the hotel fronts onto a pedestrian-friendly street and blocked to car traffic at certain times, so taxis must sometimes drop you off or pick up just around the corner - 1 minute walk. Not a big deal. However, hotel signage is not very prominent and entry looks a bit like a cafe at first glance - so can be easy to miss.

The room was very clean. Our housekeeper made sure that our towels and beddings are always fresh and well made. The bartenders Angie & My were very nice. At breakfast all the waitstaff were very pleasant and made sure that the buffet was replenished at all times, made to order eggs & bacon were offered to the guest (kudos to the chef). Over all we were very happy and would recommend to our friends and family. It also didn’t hurt that the location is very near & walkable to all the good shops and restaurants.
