«We were a party of four couples. Three had an ensuite bedroom, whilst the fourth couple had a separate upstairs area with their own private toilet and access to their own shower room at the bottom of their staircase. The owner was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions (before and after I booked). The beautiful house and location worked perfectly for a group of mature adults. We had everything we needed for a great weekend break.»

«We spent four nights in Lower Barn House over New Year. We had a mixed group of family from grandparents to newborns and the house was great for all. We found the communication from the property manager Cheryl and the owners fantastic. The property itself is secluded with great outdoor space (when the weather permits!). The living area and kitchen are also great for larger family gatherings. We will be looking to visit again!»

The accommodation has all one needs, but the emphasis has to be towards the “outdoors”, the tranquillity it offers and marvellous views of the countryside. «The 16c house is quaint with sloping walls and floors, original beams and inglenook fireplaces. Sympathetically renovated with lovely quality finishing. The garden pretty, with lots of spring bulbs emerging and colourful chickens in a stable supplying fresh, warm eggs. Jonathan was the perfect host - attentive, thoughtful and generous. I used the pool, as yet unheated, for invigorating cold water dips, thawing out in a lovely, hot roll-top bath after with a view of the trees. Plentiful dog ...

«It had it all! Great 3 bedroom home in perfect, quiet location. Stayed in neighborhood for work with 2 other colleagues and we really enjoyed the home. Private bed & bath for each of us and a great kitchen to meet and unwind post work. House was clean and well equipped. The 5 minute walk up the path brought you to a grocery store and several restaurants. Eat at The Ivy!!»

There was an issue with the freezer and they brought us a replacement within a few hours which was impressive & essential as we needed ice for drinks! The garden is so lovely.
