We’ve stayed in various cottages in the area, but Larner’s Lodge was by far the best bungalow. We had to stay in the Fisherman’s Return on our first night, so took a sneaky peak at the outside of Larner’s Lodge later that day. Situated down a private driveway, set in a very pleasant location. «The cottage is within a short walk of the sea, the beach is accessible via a steep path after approximately ten minutes. There is a bench to sit on and admire the view of the sea if you don’t fancy the steep path. The cottage itself was spacious, 3 nice bedrooms with the comfiest beds I’ve slept in for a long time. A decent bathroom with a bath and overhead shower and wc. There is also a separate room with a stand alone shower cubicle. The kitchen supplies were brilliant with plenty of crockery ...

«We enjoyed our stay and the property was in a good location for us, a short walk from the beach and Bus stops so we didn't need to worry about finding parking. Our only problem was that the stairs are quite steep and, being retired and not in the best of health, my husband struggled with that.»

«The property is in an excellent position, close to shops, restaurants and the beach, there was parking outside. The bedding and bathrooms were clean however the carpets and upholstery was very stained/dirty. The fridge door was difficult to open as it has no handle, I realise it didn't quite fit into the space but even a stick on handle on the door would have helped. The courtyard garden was unloved and the patio furniture was dirty. The flowerpots outside the front door were full of weeds, ...

«The property was lovely and tastefully decorated. It had what we needed and more. The views and proximity of the property surpassed our expectations. We enjoyed exploring Norfolk and all it had to offer, but also loved relaxing in the house as the views were lovely. Spent hours watching boats coming and going in the evenings. We also saw so much wildlife, such as deer, herons and birds of prey. Loved every minute of our stay.»

«Wonderful house in a perfect location. The whole family had a great time - brilliant well-equipped house, big garden ideal for playing in and sitting out in the evening watching the sunset across the fields. 10 mins walk to the sandy beach and then long walks to Waxham Sands to see the seals. Great coffee and cafe at Waxham Barn and wonderful pub lunch at The Nelson Head after swimming at Winterton-on-sea, another fantastic sandy beach. All in all a brilliant holiday.»
