Måtte oppgradere fordi de ikke hadde romme vårt klart (dette kostet mange £ ekstra) Rommet var skittent, det var blod i sengen og rommet så totalt rasert ut med ødelagte møbler. Det var så ille at vi sjekket ut etter en natt. Skjønner godt at jeg ikke fikk tilbake det jeg hadde betalt gjennom Expedia. Men de jeg måtte betale i kontanter over disk ved ankomst burde de greie og betale tilbake. Fikk bookent inn på et 4,5 stjerners hotell midt i byen for samme sum som det kostet å oppgradere...

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was old smelly and not maintained at all. It was being cleaned on a regular basis. The area around is interesting as it is very multicultural. Bus and overground is nearby, underground is not. Thereare plenty od atores and placeba to eat in the vicinity. The hotel was supoosed to Jave a kitchen gor guests. Well it is not equiped and is a mesa. Unusable.

Horrific not even worth £5 never seen anything like it. The young man behind the desk was lovely and helped get us a night at the sister hotel lucky 8. Much better but still in no way worth what we paid. Also family friendly is a joke we were woken up by a fire alarm at 1am which was from someone else smoking in a separate building. The man that came out just said go back in its nothing, yet hadn't even found out what set it off in the first place. Drug dealers arguing outside and we heard everything. Not OK at all and requesting a full refund.

It’s the worse hotel I ever visited in my life
It’s the worse place I ever see in my life . Cheap.
Tired and run down and desperately in need of a lick of paint but the room was clean enough. Bedding and towels were fresh. Check in was a bit of a pain as I don’t have a photo ID and they took £50 deposit in cash but it was returned in the morning. Toilets lacked toilet paper and the “clientele” were apparently unable to work out how to flush. The night was quieter than I expected and I slept well. Overall, you get what you pay for and this is the lower end of the market. Fine for one night.

This is good property for budgetary room in London and more space in room size for move around, easy access to trains and shops, needs bathroom fittings and cleanliness to be done twice a day... entry and leaving to be monitored from unknown visitors, room key are manual needs key card access to all facilities this will improve this place, toilets are limited and not cleaned on daily basis, fire alarm goes on in the night too.. taking deposit to be avoided , else very friendly Propety and closer to all major shops and connectivity to central London trains which is best to live with budget room.. I stayed for 7days which is very interesting to learn about this property.. homely atmosphere.. 😀👏👍

Not safe place,the housekeeper entered my room without letting me know, while i was having shower on another floor of the building, you should have some stickers on the door for your customers to use to let you know if they want or no housekeeping, they don't have available shower on the first floor,poor services i do not recommend going there, the fire alarm was on at 9 pm evening, i just woke up scared and went downstairs to ask reception what happened, and they were trying to sort out problems with neighbours and the smoke that was coming from them to york hotel,it is not a clean place, i had to leave 2 days before my checkout without any money back only my deposit, which is unfair as they don't provide a safe place to stay, also the money are non refundable,anyway i am happy i am out from there, the rooms smell like urine, walls are dirty, this place should be closed, toilet on first floor doesn't flush, the other toilet it's good to use but the people they use don't clean after themselves, overall a horrible experience, i hope not to see this place anymore and i would rather sleep on the streets than inside that place, i think you should have friendly staff at reception and not treat your customers with disrespect

Disastrously Stay at York Hotel
Best to avoid this hotel. Terrible dirty room and cold room. Toilets were unbearably dirty. I would rather sleep in a hostel bed which is better than this hotel room.

Better than nothing
A very quirky hotel, full of character! It is a cheap hotel, and you will understand for the price. But who can complain when desperate? Bed sheets are clean and the room warm, that is all that is needed. The staff is very nice and understanding. Big thumbs up for their hard work and keeping their spirit up despite the area!

Subnormal standard even for a budget hotel
I was told it is a budget 'hotel' but Ive been to budget hotels with far better facilities e.g laundry and ironing. To allow individuals waiting to be rehoused to live in such an environment is unacceptable let alone paying guests. Granted there was hot water and there was a room service of some sort. My towels were changed and bed made so no criticism to the individual. The criticism is for staff to put up with subnormal working ethics and condition. The hotel was carpetted and there was a smell of urine and excrement on my floor. The hostel I stayed in was 70 percent better and cheaper. They should not be charging more than £17 per night. I didnt even pay that amount for the hostel.

I wouldn't if i were you but then i did.
This is not a hotel. It is a place where people who are entitled but have nowhere to stay in the area are accommodated by the authorities. If the odour and lack of facilities suit you on terms of budget then so be it. Oh and Parking? - Best of luck with that!

Hotel was noisy the local area what a joke my car was broken into my belongings stolen as i was loading up to leave for work the hotel reception have cctv but refused me access to it saying only manager could do it in a 1 months time as they are on holiday they seemed to be very evasive of questions almost like They were hiding something why would you not wish to help a distressed member of an ambulance service in full uniform unless of course your the one who told the theives when and what i was putting in the car. Police have been informed of my suspicions and will be foklowing up on info provided.

Kaum auszuhalten....
Die Lage des York Hotels liegt sehr angenehm im Vorort Ilford. Die Bahnstation und viele Möglichkeiten um Essen zu gehen sind in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Da der Zimmerpreis sehr günstig ist, habe ich nicht viel erwartet. Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet (Tisch, Bett, Schrank). In unserem Zimmer waren die Wände frisch gestrichen. Die Bettwäsche war tiptop sauber aber.... das Bett darunter war komplett verdreckt. Ebenso der Teppich. Die sanitären Anlagen mochte man nicht betreten. Die Flure waren ebenso verschmutzt. Trotzdem war der Herr an der Rezeption sehr hilfreich und nett.

Wir fliegen jedes Jahr zu dritt an Ostern nach London. Wir achten sehr auf den Preis und sind bereit, Abstriche zu machen. Dieses "3-Bett-Zimmer" war aber das Schlimmste, was wir je erlebt haben. Gebucht waren 3 Einzelbetten. Vor Ort gab es ein Doppelbett und ein Einzelbett. Ok, nicht schlimm, da wir 3 befreundet sind. Das Einzelbett stand direkt an einem Heizkörper, der auf höchster Stufe gedreht war und sich nicht ausschalten ließ. Dusche und WC waren auf dem Gang. Das war uns aber bekannt. Allerdings waren die Toiletten sehr schmutzig. Auf dem Zimmer gab es eine Mikrowelle und einen Kühlschrank, aber keinen einzigen Schrank. Wir beschlossen daraufhin umzudisponieren und entschieden, daß ein Freund dieses "Zimmer" für die 3 Nächte alleine bewohnen sollte. Wir anderen 2 sind durch Ilford gelaufen und suchten nach Alternativen. Schjließlich fanden wir das "Rotana-Hotel" ein paar Straßen weiter. Wir 2 zahlten für 3 Nächte im Doppelzimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten, Bad mit Dusche und Toilette 165 Pfund. Dieses Zimmer war sehr gepflegt und sehr sauber. Nächstes mal ziehen wir alle 3 gleich in dieses kleine, feine Hotel.

Worst half hour of my life
Walked in to the hotel which looked more like an old hospital than a hotel and when checking in was told that there was a £10 deposit needed for the key (which was NOT on the website and which I did not have) the person at the desk told me he would need to take something so I gave him £3 as a deposit. Walked up to the room and opened the door to see what looked more like a homeless shelter than a hotel. The beds were mattresses set on 2 separate blocks, there was a smell of damp, there were no curtains only blinds which did not cover the window and were curled up from the damp, there was a fridge with no evidence of any sort of electrical safety checks being done on it, the desk in the room was broken and the fire alarm was in the desk drawer rather than where it should be on the roof detecting smoke. As well as this the facilities were shared, which I have no problem with however it was 2 toilets and 1 shower between 14 ROOMS. After half an hour, we decided enough was enough and checked out. The chap at the desk asked if something was wrong, I explained all of the above to him and he didn't seem to surprised. Thankfully, I got my £3 back. I highly recommed this place if you are on a trip looking for Britain's worst dives, if not then AVOID.

Very bed. I was scared about my family. Worst ever experience in my life. Not felt safe even. Haven’t slept all night. Bad bad bad never go there again in my life.

Hotel close to Station and Venue
Short walk from Station. Friendly staff. Disappointed to find no facilities for breakfast and no ensuite facilities.

Comfy bed made up for hotels poor condition
Rooms in need of decorating. Shared toilet was disgusting. Bed was clean with fresh sheets and quite comfy. Guy on reception was helpful as it was a veryear late last minute check in
