Clean and comfortable, but a bit embarass
Old hotel, but clean and comfortable. The reception told me to eat the breakfast at the restraunt inside the hotel with the same name of Red Lion, but didn't mention it is not free breakfast. More embarass, I couldn't pay by my room number and had to dig out all the coins from my pockets. Do you bring money with you when you go to a breakfast place inside the hotel early in the morning? You have to take bus to Uxbridge town center and other places. While I was waiting for the bus, some people thew a CocaCola bottle from the third floor car park to the roof of the bus stop and causing lound hitting noise above my head. I looked around and saw a lot of CocaCola bottles around the bus stop, that means many others might did the same. I immediately left and moved to a more crowded area.

Very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Enjoyed the history of the building and the area around the hotel/pub. Highly recommend this hotel.

Nice clean well appointed room. Chocolates and decent coffee. But room was gloomy and cold on entry. Took a while to warm up. If you have bedside lights they need to be bright enough to read by.

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel, not a style of hotel we usually go for, but certainly will do again. Felt cosy and was well equipped with iron etc. Lovely tea tray with fresh milk in the fridge. The welcome drink was also a lovely gesture and breakfast was superb both in terms of choice and taste. The whole experience surpass the price paid and we would use this hotel again and try others by Fullers.

The property & room itself were great! The room was actually beautiful! And the old house charm was awesome. I did not enjoy having to pay an additional £90 at check-in because I supposedly only booked a 2 person room when I needed a 3 person room (the other 3 hotels I booked for other days all seemed to have been for a triple room. And I know this one should have been too). So definitely enjoy the place and the room but double & triple check your booking.

Reception was super helpful and friendly and the entire staff was so nice and engaging. I loved the area too - cool old church and cemetery nearby and a few cute pubs and restaurants.

Lovely overnight stay. Friendly reception staff. Lovely room with complimentary water, tea, coffee & chocolates in the room. Lovely breakfast. Very kind to offer a complimentary drink at the bar after a long drive. Would stay again if in the area.

Relaxing start and end to a holiday
Stayed twice with a weeks holiday in between. Close to Heathrow and so much better than the airport hotels. Good sized rooms, excellent good and beers, friendly staff.

General condition good but environment not great
Was very dark in the room with bulbs not working. Towels also smelt like new paint. Asked for new set which I received very quickly which was good but they also smelt exactly the same. Room was opposite cleaning room which washing machines going all night. Then woken up at 0500 which cars revving outside window in hotel car park (not a lot hotel can do about that though) The general condition of room was good but environment was not great at all.

A gem of a hotel.
We arrived late after dropping family off at Heathrow, but managed to find a parking space. After a warm welcome, we found our room was spacious and clean. There were takeaways and shops nearby, but we chose to eat in the restaurant. Our food was good and reasonably priced. Our bed was comfortable and the room was just the right temperature. Breakfast choices next morning were plentiful and interesting. All staff we encountered were helpful and polite.

Unplanned stay.
Unfortunately it was an unplanned stay as my mother had an accident on the way to our holiday destination. I booked in here as an emergency measure as it is near the hospital. The staff were excellent, understanding and friendly (especially when I had to book an additional night at short notice, I was able to stay in the same room). The rooms are great with more free extras than a lot of hotels, plus I got a complementary drink at the bar with a voucher upon arrival and residents get 10% off of food and drink at the bar. If you don’t fancy that, there’s nearby shops and takeaways.

2nd visit
The young lady at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food I ordered in my room was a little disappointing, but that being said my previous stay and eating in the restaurant was good. Maybe what I ordered the Prawn and Calamari 2 prawns and 3 rings of squid. I would still go back and this was obviously a one off.
