Great location
It might be the best location to stay to get around in London. Everything is couple of stations away with underground. A lot of dining place around. National train is also on the spot. Hotel overall was good. Not much to complain about.

Clean and quiet, but lacking comfort
Clean and quiet. Nice bathroom and good breakfast. However, the shower had almost non-existent pressure and the bed what somewhat hard. As I travelled for business, this was unfortunately not what I was looking for. OK experience overall.

Fint hotell med hyggelig personale i Paddington
Hotellet er rent og nyoppusset, med veldig vennlig og hjelpsomt personale. Det er en restaurant i første etasje som har god mat og hyggelig personale, og frokosten er bra. Wi-fi på rommet var bra, og man får låne en liten ipad som man kan ta med seg ut som har 4G. Hotellet er nært Paddington Station som tar deg til Heathrow på 15min, i tillegg til undergrunnen som opererer flere linjer.

Nyoppusset, pent hotell med hyggelig liten hage. Perfekt beliggenhet. Noe små rom og litt lytt, men London er London når det kommer til hotellstandard, og kan ikke sammenlignes med noe annet. Vi synes dette hotellet gir god valuta for pengene.

Trivelig hotell nær Paddington Station
Veldig bra og nyrenovert hotell, nært Paddington station, direkte tog fra Heathrow. Veldig små rom, men fancy innredet. Ingen bråk fra gaten eller nærliggende rom. God lokalisering for aktiviteter i London, nært Hyde Park og metro til sentrum. Hyggelige folk i resepsjonen, noe ufokusert når vi var der, skyldtes nok at de hadde computer problemer den dagen. Det anbefales å gå ut i byen for frokost, da hotellfrokosten serveres i et lokale i kjelleren, og var forholdsvis dyr. Gode alternativer 1-2 min unna hotellet. Også gode restauranter og puber i nærheten.

Lett tilgjengelig, rent og konfortabelt hotell
I de siste fem årene har vi valgt å bo i området Paddington. Dette spesielt av hensyn til de mange gode offentlige kommunikasjonstilbudene som finnes der (bl.a. Heathrow Express m.fl.), men også fordi vi trives så godt i denne delen av London. Om en vil utnytte de mange shoppingmulighetene, er det bare å gå på en buss (for eksempel 7 eller 23) og gå av i Oxford Street. På denne tiden er også julemarkedet da innen rekkevidde. Om en heller vil senke skuldrene og nyte atmosfæren i en av de mange pubene som finnes i området, er det bare å bruke bena. Det nyåpnede Mercure London Hyde Park Hotel var definitivt et av de beste hotellene vi hittil har bodd på i denne delen av London. Rommet hadde til og med en liten terrasse. I likhet med de fleste hotellrommene i London var rommet lite, men på dette hotellet var det plass til en nydelig bred seng med tilgang fra begge sidene. For den som ønsker å holde seg oppdatert på nyheter og lignende, hadde rommet en stor fin flatskjerm i tillegg til et lite Samsung nettbrett (- og telefon) med internett som en kunne ta med seg rundt i byen. Utstyret hadde mange funksjoner bl.a. online kartverk og nyttige guider mv. Det var godt leselys ved sengen og rommet hadde kjøleskap, safe og tilgang til heis i korridoren utenfor. Renholdet var helt topp og betjeningen var svært hyggelig og hjelpsom. Elena i resepsjonen ga et svært positivt førsteinntrykk under innsjekkingen og dette inntrykket holdt seg og vel så det under hele oppholdet. Anbefales.

Situated just minutes away from Paddington Station, the Mercure London Hyde Park Hotel has excellent transport links that whisk you straight to the legendary London sights of Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace or the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. All London’s famed museums, art galleries and shops are accessible from our centrally located establishment. Hyde Park, Oxford Street, Marble Arch, Notting Hill Gate and Kensington are all just short walk away. Thank you for your 4 star review.

It’s very clean, quiet, and within a reasonable distance to Paddington Station. The night staff are very polite and helpful, but I found the day staff a bit snarky (though still helpful). Everything is quite small, but most hotels in London are like this. The most helpful bit, is they will store your luggage for free if you arrive early.

The property was lovely inside the hotel, and the room was cosy as advertised. There was an atrocious strong smell which was the one thing that marred the experience. The smell was present the whole period of our stay.

El hotel se encuentra a una calle de la estación de Paddington, con lo que el transporte desde y hacia Heathrow es directo en el Heathrow Express o en el Tube. En los alrededores hay muchos restaurantes y tiendas. Incluso Kensington Park está a una distancia corta. El hotel esta muy bonito y las habitaciones cómodas. El desayuno que ofrecen por 13 libras es muy bueno.

Great location, bad smell
Best thing about hotel is the location. Easy to get to from Euston on 2 tubes and also great walking distance to winter wonderland at Hyde park (25 mins). Quick 5 min walk to the tube station to get into central. Hotel room was small no space to open case which is expected in London. Gave 3* due to the hotel room it smelt like drains especially the bathroom, we had to open the window while in the room to air it out however smell still lingered. Also unable to have a shower as the water built up and did not go down for a long time. Building works going on next door which woke us up at 8am, wasn’t aware until we got there. Overall nice hotel if drain system and smell is sorted. Would recommend short stays 1 or max 2 nights.

Boa localização, mas quartos muito apertados
O hotel é bem localizado, um quarteirão do metrô e da estação de trem e dois do Hyde Park. Os quartos são minúsculos, eu fiquei sozinha, mas imagino que seria muito apertado com duas pessoas. Os quartos tem carpete o que dificulta muito a limpeza. Funcionários atenciosos.

Leider das schlechteste Zimmer bekommen (703), lautes Loch im Keller, direkt neben dem Lager für Putzmittel, Putzwagen... sehr laut in der Nacht, früh am Morgen... nicht akzeptabel für ein Familienzimmer in einem 4 Sterne Hotel. Enttäuschend auch die Rezeption, die die Schuld des Lärms an die Gäste weitergeben, nein, es ist das Personal, ich habe sie eindeutig gesehen.

Small but clean and well-appointed rooms. Steps from Paddington Station with dozens of bars and restaurants in a one block radius (I counted six places you could get shawarma within a block!). Only major issue - they rent the rooms out for day use and when I arrived at almost 9PM they said the room wasn’t ready. For me it was only a short wait since I arrived so late but another poor lady in the lobby had been waiting for hours. If they can’t guarantee check in by 5:00 or so, they should state that clearly somewhere before you book the room. You shouldn’t have to pay for room for the “night” if you don’t get into the room until 9:30PM
