Pensjonat i Lalla Takarkoust

My host family took me to Lake Takerkoust (its dam powers all of Amizmiz and Marrakech) for a hike. Up here, you can see the entire floodplain and the river tributary that flows into the main lake. Far away on the other side, you can see a motorbike riding across the dirt road as if a speck of dust was slowly floating across space. As we sat and ate our picnic of fruit and veggy sticks, I couldn't help but wonder how much more Morocco is than just its stereotypical perception, a desert.

«We stayed for a few nights as a family with two young kids and loved the farm environment with its playground and games like football and table tennis. The family room was lovely, with beautiful gardens, hot showers, and very comfortable beds. Breakfast on the sun terrace was delicious and set us up perfectly for the day. «The riad is located in Imlil with amazing view of the Atlas mountains from the terrace, the room was very clean and cosy. Any concerns were dealt with high professionalism and huge generosity by the manager - Abdou. «Etter hektiske dager i medinaen i Marrakech var siste døgnet i dette herlige gjestehuset før hjemreise virkelig den beste avslutningen på ferien. Deilig hage med hengekøyer mellom palmene i duften av appelsintrær og gjestfrie verter som virkelig fikk oss til å føle oss som hjemme. "Veldig god service og hyggelige ansatte. Vi prøvde ikke spaet. Men tok en dameklipp. Anbefaler ikke og gjøre det. Selve hårklippen varte i 10 min inne på et lite massasje rom på en liten stol i døråpningen uten speil. Håret er klippet veldig skjevt og må dra til frisør og rette det opp. Men ellers er vi veldig fornøyd med oppholdet."

"Er nydelig sted men helt utrolig beliggenhet! Sentralt mye fint rundt hotellet ligger i et fint området. Hotellet i seg selv er vakkert med fine fasiliteter og nydelige rom! Det som drar dette hotellet ned fra 5/5 til 4/5 for meg er reglen på mat og drikke. Det var ikke lov og ta med noe form for mat inn på hotellet. Alt på hotellet var utrolig priset. 1 liter med vann og 0,33 ML cola kostet oss 25 euro! Dette syns jeg var litt i overkant. "

Let’s start with this: this isn’t just a resort – it’s its own magical, sun-soaked village. You don’t go to Aqua Mirage just to relax. You go there to feel alive. It’s Marrakech meets a dreamland. I spent a week there and barely covered 60% of what the place offers. That’s how packed it is with fun, food, vibes, and a sense of family. Now let’s talk heroes. HICHAM!! Yes, double exclamation mark, and he deserves more. I watched this man save two lives right in front of me. No hesitation, no panic. He launched into the pool like an action movie star, quick reflexes, precise moves – the man is real-life Moroccan Batman. But it doesn’t stop there. Hicham brings joy, banter, and warmth to every interaction. He’s always having fun with the guests. The kids adore him. Honestly, the resort should build a statue of him. Then there’s Okidoki (aka Khalil) – the legend. His name alone brings smiles. You’ll hear people calling “Okidoki!” across the pool. He’s energy, humor, and friendliness rolled into one. Momo aka Younes and two other kings of the Aqua Mirage realm is yassine and Espescially Anwar!. Always there, always smiling, making sure you’re vibing, relaxed, and taken care of. You feel like family – and that’s no exaggeration. And let me not forget Zineb and Sousou. (Please join sousou cooking class) "
