Cute Tiny House in Lakeside

Welcome to our Tiny Home in the rural/rustic area of Lakeside. Vacation in the small town with yummy foods and great people. Our tiny home is the perfect place for those travelers looking for affordability and to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life however, only a quick 20 minute drive to beaches, San Diego Zoo, Seaworld, and Down Town San Diego.

The Space:
Our tiny home is located behind the main property where the homeowner reside and sits on a 3rd of an acre. Please enjoy the outdoor amenities of a fire pit, bbq station, above ground pool, and relaxing sitting area for small groups. There is plenty of space for well behaved furry pets who enjoy other animals on the property and children. Directly Across the street is the beautiful renovated Lake and community park/trail to take a stroll with friends and animals.

Our tiny house includes a small kitchenette with a mini refrigerator, microwave, sink for washing dishes, toaster, coffee machine, cups, plates, utensils and bbq supplies. THERE IS NO STOVE OR FREEZER! The bathroom is stocked with a toilet, shower, sink and medicine cabinet. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash is available as well as hand soap and fresh towels. This tiny house is a “bunkhouse” style meaning the queen mattress is located over the kitchen and bathroom. You must be able to climb a ladder to get to this bed. There is a trundle bed on the ground level in the living room. Enjoy TV with free streaming services of Netflix. Please choose “guest” account. To access other streaming services, please log into your personal accounts. Our tiny home does have a portable air conditioning unit that will be turned on prior to your arrival. Private parking on the property will always be available. No need to park on the streets.

Well behaved guests are welcome on the property however they must exit the property by 8pm and park on the street. Small gatherings are fine. (Please feel comfortable using the backyard as your own) but large parties are not allowed. If you plan to have a small gathering please inform us when booking so that we can make special accommodations.

Responsible drinking is allowed on property.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING!
We are a family with children of all ages. Those who book our tiny house should be comfortable with children in the backyard playing while you are enjoying your stay. Our family is always respectful and will never step foot into the surroundings of the tiny house and its property. Dogs on the property must be neutered and have proper identification on their tags.

Property owners do work from home. Property owners do quite a bit of work inside and outside of the home. If you are uncomfortable with engaging with other people on the property, please do not book!

While the tiny house is updated and modern, the surroundings of the property are rural. If you do not enjoy the occasional dust storm, bugs, mosquitoes, and wild animals in the area, we might suggest not booking this rare gem.

This is the cutest property! We were a party of 3 for a wedding in Lakeside. The location is really convenient regardless of where you want to go in the San Diego area. The property manager was very responsive and answered my questions quickly. We were very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Thank you for your hospitality!

The hosts are lovely people but their property is not. Parking was ok but the homeless man outside was not great. After walking thru the broken gate to a sloping dirt path covered in weeds to the turf grass with several piles of dog poop was not good. The unit was cold and the only way to adjust it was to climb up the loft ladder, there was no remote. To take a shower, you needed to turn the kitchen faucet on hot and then shower. There is no storage, the bed is a twin, there's nowhere to sit. I did not stay and had to book elsewhere. Was not a good description of what you have to endure at this location, especially being an older person.

Property was very accessible. Behind the owners house and a big Privacy fence so very private. Host supplied everything you need to cook or bbq outside. Bed And loft very comfortable. I was In Town for a family milestone party it was less than 2 miles of where my family was. Great price!!!! I highly recommend for anyone wanting a great place at a great price!! I will for sure be back in the future if it is still available!! Thanks Angie & Kyle!!

Charming little Lakeside Hideaway!

We stayed two nights in the tiny house and really enjoyed it. We were in Lakeside to visit family and this was a great little escape when we needed a break! Kyle and Angie were very easy to work with and responded quickly. We are dog people and loved meeting their dogs too! It was great having a dedicated off street parking spot. A nice a peaceful spot close to the middle of everything. We will stay again next time we're in town! Thank you!

Cute tiny house in quiet neighborhood

Great responsive hosts. I got in later than I had planned and they still waited for me to arrive to give me a tour and answer any questions. The place had everything I needed for my short stay. The bed was comfy and I appreciated the extra blankets since it did get a little chilly at night. It was fairly hot that weekend so the tiny house did get a little stuffy. Note: since the tiny house doesn't have a/c, keeping the portable fan on while out helps out. My biggest complaint was trying to get the shower temp the right temp. The water was cold even when turning the knob all the way to hot. The trick with turning the sink water on made the shower water way too hot so I ended up showering in cold water. Overall, a good stay since it was a quick 15min drive to where I needed to go

The perfect stay for two lovebirds

The location is in a quiet neighborhood just past San Diego. The hosts, Kyle and Angie were very kind and more than willing to accommodate to our needs. The space was clean and well furnished, not to mention beautifully decorated. My partner and I could not have asked for more! While small, it is the perfect amount of space for one or two people to stay for a few days. Definitely recommend this property!

I think the owners rushed to get it rented out. The portable air conditioner did not keep the place cool. The water would not stay warm/hot for a shower. No washrags. A lamp would have been nice instead of the all over lighting when lights were on. Many cobwebs in the upper windows.

Terrific Tiny House

Great stay! I was in town for a celebration of life event and after hours of delays from the airlines, I arrived to find the car company I was supposed to get my rental with had already closed for the night. I had been in communication with the property managers to keep them updated and upon hearing this news, the landlord offered to pick me up from the airport so I wouldn’t be stranded -/talk about hospitality!!! That was just the kind gesture I needed after a wearying day of travel. In the end, I was able to get another vehicle but the sincere offer was huge! The tiny house itself was just as advertised. Everything was nice and cozy and the blankets smelled so good! The kitchenette had all the basics (cutlery, plates, bowls, etc) with spices, coffee, tea, microwave and toaster too. Easy additions to become a super host, I would recommend the property managers add some fruit or granola or something to the kitchen. The bathroom was well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, TP, and towels (regular and makeup towel); it would be more efficient/less water wasteful if the sink didn’t have to be running for the shower to get hot water. Overall, great stay, convenient location for my needs, basically lakeside, and would definitely look to book here again if/when I come through!
