Reward yourself and your family with a break from the busy city life. This beautiful cabin is surrounded by mature oak and pine trees offers stunning panoramic scenery and year-round adventure. Pets Friendly Cabin.

The Space:
Popular destinations include South Lake Tahoe, Sierra At Tahoe Ski Resort, The American River, Sugar Loaf Rock Climbing area, Pony Express trail and the numerous lakes, rivers and hiking trails.

☃ ◣WINTER/SNOW◢ ☃

❆ If you think the safety and convenience of your trip is going to be compromised by a storm, please reach out to us. We can always re-book your trip.
❆ If you decide to proceed with your reservation despite storm warnings, please come prepared. Be ready to install chains. Bring an emergency kit, extra blankets, shovels, water, flashlight. Sometimes US-50 is closed during heavy snow.
❆ The small road leading to the cabin is plowed by Caltrans. But keep in mind that they might not get to it right away as they work on Highway 50 which is a higher priority.
❆ Our property manager clears snow at the cabin and driveway whenever possible. In case you wake up in the morning and see a foot or two of fresh snow and have to dig your car out, we have lots of snow shovels. Again, your family's safety and convenience is important to us, so don't hesitate to reach out to us if you think the storm will cause you a major headache.



◣CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES◢

✮ Easy Self-check-in with a code of Smart Lock. Check in is anytime after 4pm. Please read important Check-In/Check-Out instructions upon your arrival. The water shut-off procedure is very important to follow during the winter months.

◣CANCELLATION POLICY◢

Full Refund 30 days before check-in date minus 3% payment processing fees. All Cancellation requests will occur with payment processing fees of 3% non-refundable. Stripe payment processor collects such fees

Other Things to Note:
“We have two security cameras outside of the cabin for owner & guests safety. One camera on the deck area pointing street entrance and driveways. And one camera near side-door for monitor parking / EV Charging area.” There's Absolutely no camera or listening device inside the cabin.

Rejuvenating Retreat

Peaceful, beautiful, welcoming cabin with lots of thoughtful details. Easy check in/out, good communication and a sense that Barry really wanted us to have a great stay - and we did.

Enjoyed this stay very much. Quiet, simple, and pleasant with wonderful trees surrounding the property. Loved the elevated outside deck. EV charger on site took any stress away from driving up to Lake Tahoe in my EV. The family and I enjoyed staying here and having a quiet weekend at the lake. Thanks so much!

Family Snow Trip

This marks our 3rd year spending family time here, and we absolutely love it every time! Even though we didn't get snow up in the cabins this year, we enjoyed driving up to one of the snow parks.Thank you for making our stay every year so effortless! Perfect for family vacation in cooler months

Barry was a great communicator! Lots of space in the house for a big family! Coffee station was super nice! No air conditioning, wasn’t able to sleep in hot summer, so left a day early. Shower curtain smelled of mildew.

Best Stay Ever

Where do i start first we drove up early to play in snow and host Barry was more than helpful. Next they clean the place from top to bottom smell so good right before got there. The wood fire heat the whole place nicely. There is a lot of games to play already there.

Great spot for a Sierra weekend getaway

Cannon was well equipped, and once the wood stove got going, was very cozy. Tons of beautiful mountains, snow, and skiing nearby. And of course Tahoe is right up the road.

Fun Weekend Stay

The owner was so responsive and helpful! The property was very clean. There was a nice coffee/hot tea station that was stocked up with all the supplies needed. Plenty of games and outside exploring. The tree swing was a huge hit with the young kids. Any question we had was answered in an extremely timely manner. The only down side was the oven portion of the stove wouldn't work, we could only use the "broil" setting so hopefully that gets replaced or sorted out soon. Other than not being able to cook in the oven, it was a great stay. We plan on coming back!

Perfect Family Getaway

Barry was absolutely amazing with communication. He consistently checked to make sure we were ok and see if we needed anything. The home was everything we could have wanted. There is a perfect hill right out back that the kids spent all day sledding down. I will definitely be returning next winter for a stay.

Good times

Went there and it was very clean and cozy. The front deck was great for family bbq. We had plenty of wood for the wood stove. Had a little maintenance issue but the Barry was right on it . He's reply and the service was faster than the service I've gotten at the Halfmoon Bay Ritz. You will enjoy this place if you're looking for a clean cabin type of a place near Tahoe.

Kyburz Snow House

Had a pleasurable stay. The beds were comfortable and the sledding right outside the door was great fun. Barry's handyman lives across the road and helped us out with a few things during our stay. Thanks Barry

Clean, Huge backyard with sleds for kids

Barry was always responsive with replies within 30 min, the place was well stocked in the kitchen and with games or bedding and was clean, and the location was 25 min away from a pullout area with a big snow field and small hills for sledding for the kids (a few min west of Sierra at Tahoe). It snowed the last two days we were there and the the backyard became a perfect area to sled and practice snowboarding for the kids.

A Lovely Getaway!

If you’re looking to experience an authentic cabin in the woods, look no further! Only a 45 min drive to Tahoe and located in a beautiful, quiet, and scenic area. Perfect for families looking for some R&R and/or getting back in touch with nature. There are plenty of heaters to keep you warm during the winter and cozy blankets to assist with that as well. There’s all the cooking utensils you could ask for, board games for the whole crew, and a cute little fireplace too! Overall, Barry definitely made this property a home away from home (:

Cozy Cabin

My family and I loved the warmth and the design of the cabin. Everything was well stocked and can't tell you how much I personally enjoyed the wood fireplace. If you're trying to get away from the busy city life this is the place to stay at. Barry was very attentive to our needs and even sent in a maintenance person to work on the outdoors shower.

Memory making retreat

We headed up to Kyburz Cabin for our annual snow trip. We had a blast. The cabin is great for the whole family. The backyard was spacious for the kiddos to play and swing on the tree swing. Once the snow covered the hillside they were roaring down it with their sleds. We enjoyed some drip coffee with fresh espresso to grind. The well lite patio was enjoyable to seat and have a cocktail or hot cocoa while watching the snow fall. We hope to go back again. Thank you Barry! I appreciate all your help with our stay.

great snow trip

Barry answered all my questions prior to booking his property. He was quick to respond, less than an hour, and was thorough in answering my questions. My family had one little glitch checking-in, as the house was not ready at the given time due to housecleaning running behind. When I contacted Barry, and told him the situation, he was apologetic and immediately rectified the situation by allowing my family to extended our check-out time, as we were unable to check-in at the agreed upon time. The house cleaning lady was apologetic and because she lives close by, she lent my kids a couple of sleds to use while she finished cleaning the house. The house was clean and there were no issues setting up the house. My family never left the property as they were able to sled and play in the snow right on site. The National Forest abutts the the back of the property and they were able to do a little hiking the last day. Overall, the house was cozy, with the woodburning stove, my kids loved trying out the different beds each night and discovered their love of Scrabble. Thanks Barry for the opportunity to enjoy your home! We would definitely stay again when we plan another snow play trip. You were a gracious host!
