Awesome Stay!!!

We can’t thank the hosts so much for the WONDERFUL HOSPITALITY! The view AMAZING!!! There is so much to do there! Fun games and great environment! Pool, Jacuzzi, games etc! A bit of a drive up the mountain, so beautiful well worth it!!! You will not disappointed!

Perfect in every way

Gorgeous and spacious villa with everything we could possibly need for our stay. We had 11 in our party and had so much space for all of us. Lots of games and a beautiful pool and completely private. We all had a great time and wanted for nothing. Beautiful location with stunning views yet only a short drive to the local supermarket which had everything we needed. We visited Dubrovnik and Cavtat several times which we found simple to do. The villa was very clean and has more than enough clean towels and linen for everyone and also beautiful foods and drinks in the fridge for our arrival along with plenty of snacks. If you could imagine your perfect villa this would be it. Paulina was contactable at all times (although we didn't need to) but left us alone to enjoy our holiday. He has thought of everything and more to make sure the villa is wonderful. Thank you for having us - we had the best holiday.

Family holiday

We had a wonderful relaxing time made perfect by Paulino who had thought of everything. He left us food and drinks at the Villa as we arrived late in the evening. We were a family group of 15 it was the ideal place with plenty to occupy all ages . A little more shade would be helpful at the pool as it was very hot some days . Plastic glasses for pool area for safety purposes maybe . We would highly recommend it .

Amazing property, highly recommend

We visited at the end of May with family and 4 children age 9-13. On our arrival Paulino was there to meet us and show us around the house, the house is stunning with all you need and more, stunning views and gardens and so much for the kids including bikes and a quad. Paulino had kindly made us lunch for our arrival and provided lots of snacks and drinks for the children and even alcohol for the adults. Nothing was a problem and on the few occasions we text Paulino during our stay he got straight back to us. The neighbours were lovely and it was a nice village to stay in. We had some lovely walks locally up to the cross etc It was a short drive to Dubrovnik and cavtat I wouldn’t hesitate on booking to stay at villa pave again, we really didn’t want to leave. Thank you Paulino

What is not to like about Villa Pave !

From the moment we exchanged messages with the owner of this property to being dropped off at the airport, I have to say the service given was incredible ! Paulino's response to any of our questions before our stay was extremely efficient and he would always look to accommodate any request. Our party of 13 were treat like VIP's and we all agreed that we have never experienced service like this from any other owner of a property whilst on holiday before. The villa itself was clean and tidy and had every facility you could ever want on holiday....pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, mountain bikes, table tennis, table football, pool table, dart board, childrens play area. Both kitchens were well equipped with plenty of glasses etc for a large party and the 2 kitchens came in handy with being such a large party of guests. There were 2 ovens, 2 washing machines, 2 large fridge freezers, 2 dish washers. The 2 cars that are available with the property, were extremely helpful in order to not only visit the gorgeous surroundings but also to transport shopping from the supermarket in Gruda, although there is a smaller shop available for essentials in walking distance from the villa...this job was left to those who could manage the walk in the sun and heat however !! The additional dining space was perfect for our family meals together. It was here that we enjoyed a meal prepared for us by Paulino's family. This is a must for any guest as the food was delicious, and a handy hint would be to not wait to arrange for the last night of your stay, as the food and wine left over would feed you for at least the next day or two ! The villa was a great base to explore the local area, we particularly enjoyed Cavtat and it was from here that we caught the ferry over to Dubrovnik, a much easier way to travel there. Some of our party also crossed the border over to Montenegro, which was only a 10/15 minute drive from the villa. The surrounding area is rural and so very quiet. I think one by one we all enjoyed the peace and quiet of sitting out on the balcony with a glass of wine or a morning coffee, and the backdrop of the mountains whilst around the pool area was simply stunning. We also enjoyed food at the restaurant Mrs & Mr Caput, only a 20 minute walk from the villa. The owners and staff were great, food was delicious and beautifully designed. They were happy to adapt the menu for the younger ones too. Needless to say we had a brilliant stay at Villa Pave.

Top Villa

Paulino and his team were great, we hired his cars and he was waiting for us at the airport, we followed him to the villa where he provided light lunch and drinks for us, a nice surprise and a relief not to have to rush to the super market. The villa is spot on, we had a couple of wet days so the games area and hot tub were well used. We had a couple of questions and when ever we would text him he would reply with in minutes. Really I could go on and praise every detail and write for ever but essentially you will not be disappointed if you choose to rent Paulino's villa. Go to Mr Kapput's restaurant, great food and wine and you may get asked if you would like to try some brandy in his wine cellar. Beware the walk home!!! All in all had a great time in Croatia for our first visit, only made better by a great chalet and really very luxurious compared to some we have stayed in. Thanx again Andy and family

Everything we hoped for .......and more

A wonderful stay high up in the hills above the Konavle valley on the border with Montenegro and Bosnia. Paulino presents a fabulous villa that is very well kept and he is eager to ensure that everything is in order from the friendly welcome at the airport to accommodating our departure requirements. Presented with local cheeses and meats on arrival was perfect after a very early start in London! The local wines were also consumed with relish! Everything was as described on the booking. We are a family of five but the accommodation would comfortably take two families. My three boys (13/12/10) were kept entertained for hours with the games, the pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. It was still warm enough in October (22/23 degrees) for the pool and a couple of BBQs in the splendid facility that Paulino has built. Local attractions allowed for plenty to do. Twenty minutes to the beach if you wish but the non-beach sites were exceptional. Dubrovnik is legendary and well worth the visit but even more surprising for us were the much quieter old towns of Kotor and Hercig Novi in nearby Montenegro. Cavtat is a beautiful Croatian town and we also visited Molunat, the Prevlaka Peninsula, the local castle Sokol Grad and the exceptional hill top look out from Santa Barbara on the old Bosnian mountain pass just above the Villa. The two local restaurants in Ljuta provided great food when we could be bothered to cook! The airport is under half an hour away, so no stress upon arrival or departure. Highly recommended.

Amazing villa! Fantastic host!

We have just arrived back from a fantastic holiday at villa pave. We were a group of 14 people ranging from 1 year-63 Years of age and we were travelling to Croatia to get married. Upon arriving at the airport, Paulino met us with both his cars and took us back to the villa. We were welcomed with complimentary breads, meats and cheeses which went down well by all. That’s a really nice touch. The villa itself is everything you could want and more. The upstairs is separate to the downstairs which is ideal for families as you can have your own space. Each level has a kitchen which is really handy. The outside area is truly amazing. The views are to die for, the swimming pool is perfect and the games room kept my teenage boys happy whilst we were there. The barbecue area is worth a mention, it’s huge. We hosted a post wedding bbq there for 35 guests with ease. I think what really made our stay so special was Paulino. There was nothing this man wouldn’t do to help us. He provided transport to our wedding venue free of charge, he was constantly at the end of the phone for any queries we had and he happily provided us with a taxi service through contacts of his as taxis can be very expensive in Croatia. We even came back from our wedding to find a little gift, flowers and wine in our room. Again, a really nice touch which makes all the difference I think. He really was the best host which was very comforting from the offset. We would love to come back and visit one day and would have no doubt about booking this villa again, you won’t regret it!

Lovely relaxing stay in a villa in the countryside. You will need transport when staying at the vill

We have just returned from a week at this amazing villa. There were 13 of us including 2 children aged 1 and 5. There was plenty of room for us all. Paulino is the perfect host and ensures that there is everything you need and makes you feel very welcome. The villa is very spacious and clean and the pool and garden were very nice too. The enclosed eating area and barbecue were great to sit in at he end of a relaxing day. We went to Cavtat and Dubrovnik and some of our party went to Mostar for the day which they enjoyed. Also some of our party went out on a boat from Cavtat which was great fun. Would thoroughly recommend this exceptional host and his lovely villa. Thank you Paulino

Delightful stay at Hotel Pave...Paulino couldn't have been more helpful and the facilities were grea

Wonderful pool, hire cars were fantastic and a much higher spec than would be expected. The house is a little bit of a distance from anywhere, so having the cars was really important for the quality experience we had. The croatian meal was very well done and the service from evening's was great. Paulino was very accommodating for our departure, allowing us to linger around the pool until late afternoon prior to our departure. Great holiday and would highly recommend!

Amazing Villa, amazing holiday!

We stayed here for a week in August 2017. We were a group of 14 people. Owner Paulino was very helpful throughout our stay and went above and beyond. He met us at the airport with his 2 hire cars and provided car seats. He came with us to buy our ferry tickets to Dubrovnik and advised on the best beaches and restaurants in the area. He also provided local meats, cheese, snacks and wine, beer and soft drinks for our first evening. The villa itself is absolutely amazing. Exactly as pictured, finished to a really high standard and has something for everyone. The play park and trampoline were a hit with the younger children, the pool table and table tennis table kept us all amused and the swimming pool was lovely, after being slightly chilly the first day Paulino turned the heat up for us. There is also a gym with sauna and hot tub! The area is remote in the mountains, but it has beautiful views, a small castle to visit, really pretty churches, a waterfall to walk to, and a large cross on the top of a local hill which we also visited. The villa also has 3 mountain bikes which some of our party made good use of. The local restaurants serving traditional Croatian food were really good and in beautiful surroundings, a little further afield (approx 30 min drive) is Cavtat which is more touristy and has a range of different restaurants. We would highly recommend this villa and would consider returning.

Stunning Luxury Retreat

This is a beautiful villa set up in the hills in rural Croatia, away from all the traffic and tourism of busy Dubrovnik. The pictures capture the setting very well and this property deserves all the five star reviews. Paulino Hendic is the owner and host, he is absolutely fantastic and treats you to a real VIP service. On our arrival Paulino had brought us some cheese, ham and fruit so we did not need to run to the shops. He could not do enough for us, including cleaning the pool mid week. You definitely need a car to stay here as it is quite remote, 10 mins drive to the nearest town of Gruda. Paulino can provide hire vehicles cheaper than you can book online and I definitely recommend doing this. I would suggest you contact Paulino direct before booking to discuss, his email is Hendic.paulino@gmail.com. The website is dubrovnikvillapave-Hendic.hr. We have had some booking nightmares in the past using big websites and agencies so I would always recommend booking direct with the owner. The villa is about 25 mins from the airport and Dubrovnik old town is about an hour away once you have found somewhere to park!! The villa is well stocked with essentials like olive oil, ketchup, pasta, salt and pepper, so we did not need to go and buy things that you end up leaving behind. There were also 3 good quality mountain bikes available, which 2 of us used everyday. There are lots of steep lanes to explore, great fun going down, hard work coming up!! Certainly beat going to the gym! Also worth a mention, we went to a restaurant in Gruda called Koraceva Kuca which was amazing. We had a fantastic week long stay here in August and it was delightful. Very highly recommended.
