The house was perfect for us as it had plenty of space, lots of bedrooms/bathrooms, making it a very comfortable stay even with a large group. The communication with the property manager was great! She was responsive and very nice! I would recommend this house! »

«Ultimately the cottage seems to be a home to the owners how they like it. Cosy, practical & functional. Absolutely fine for us and accurately described - location really good & parking great for 1 vehicle we have a discovery and no problem. We took a fire stick down but you can’t link that up to the network, which was unusual- no porch for wet stuff, but you can see this from advert so again prepared for it. Anyway really enjoyed stay and would book again. »

«We really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was perfect and the location was great. We were able to get the bus into Windermere and Bowness in the evenings (the bus stop is on the top road very near to the holiday park). We would definitely recommend this lodge.»

«We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together»

«The property was in a great position in the centre of Richmond, yet very quiet. Everything we needed was within walking distance. The cottage has a garage but our car didn’t fit into it. Parking was quite a challenge sometimes,finding somewhere close not on a zoned area.»

«The property is conveniently situated just off the main road in Barnard castle, it is at the end of a dingy looking alleyway with a very tight driveway. «We couldn't fault the stay at all. The location was beautiful,it was easy to find, peaceful and quiet. The house served as an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District. Coming home to soak in the hot tub was an ideal way to end a busy day.»

«I might have misread the blurb, was expecting a kitchenette and a full size fridge so was surprised to find just a kettle and mini fridge. My room was one of the tiny ones which was expected, room was clean as was shower & toilet. Bed was a single but comfy, slept like a baby although the 14 miles walked helped! Nice pub next door with quiz on Thursdays! Overall good value, and help only a phone call away. Good location on a quiet road midway between Windermere and Bowness»
