Chorio Village Kimolos: Chorio (or Chora) is the capital of Kimolos, located on the foot of Mount Xaplovouni. Chorio is found in the southeastern part of Kimolos. Kimolos has a sparse population and most of its inhabitants are concentrated there. In Chorio, you can see the typical Cycladic stone houses, narrow cobbled streets and a sense of an old charm prevailing all over. Many old buildings have been restored and new roads are being constructed to make it easier for tourists and residents. The best feature of Chorio is its traditional architecture: white washed houses with blue windows and flowered yards, which are built around the center of the old Venetian Castle. These houses portray true Aegean architectural style. The castle has two parts: Messa Kastro or the Inner Castle and Exo Kastro or the Outer Castle. They are also known as Palio Horio or Old Village and Neo Horio or New Village. In Messa Kastro, the outer walls of the houses have loopholes for windows, forming a defending wall.
A beach, seven in the evening of a day in late August with the warmth of the red sun at sunset which warms every molecule, every breath, every thought. The tamarisk-candid-lilies, bees. The blue sea of white foam on the shore. The blond children of the sun. Pistachios, ouzaki, bare feet. The warm inside. The feeling that your skin is only a gap-getting thinner, almost to vanishing-between you and the light. And the shocking beauty of intuition that you have a place in that light.
In modern greek, "pantopolio" means a place where you can buy anything. In this pantopolio of Kimolos, you can get food, fruits, vegetables, accessories for house cleaning, dishes for cooking, and here is also the only travel agency on the island.

Our stay at Aeolis was great. The rooms are nice and room service came every day. The owners took great care of us and gave great advice about which beaches and sites we should see. They are also really helpful with ordering cars or ATVs. The hotel is located in a calm area, about 5 minutes walk ...
