It is kind of a boarding house situation with different guests in different bedrooms I missed that it wasn't air conditioned in the description. Temp was ok at night but pretty warm mid afternoon. «My husband, daughter and I all had a perfectly wonderful stay at Sea Lodge J6. The accommmodations were just as described, newly renovated, clean and comfortable and the view 6 miles east to Kilauea Point lighthouse is entrancing. We also enjoyed Laysan Albatross regularly flying by the windows, whales at a distance one afternoon and constant cool ocean breezes. I would recommend this lodging to anyone and we plan to return in the next year or two.»

"The resort has some great features, especially the beautiful pools and the excellent check-in experience. The welcome was warm and made a great first impression. Unfortunately, the evenings were disappointing. There was very little nightlife, no real bar atmosphere, and almost everything closed by 9:00 p.m., which made the resort feel quiet much too early. The drinks at the bar were also below expectations, and the bartenders and bar staff didn’t seem particularly engaged or enthusiastic, which affected the overall experience. The property itself is lovely, but extending the evening offerings and improving the bar service would make a big difference."
