«Better than the photos. Exceptionally clean, well maintained garden and looked like it had recently been refurbished. Quiet location in the country, but only a 5 minute drive to the outskirts of town. Friendly hosts popped over (live next door but a good distance away) to check everything was ok and that we knew where the zero gravity garden chairs were for relaxing in the garden! «This house has such potential to be a great holiday home - the location is wonderful, the rooms are large and layout of the house is fab. However, upon arrival the house had clearly only had a very light clean. There was white dog hair everywhere and we had to clean the bath before using it. The shower tray didn’t drain when using it and there was a strong drainage smell in both bathrooms. The slats on the main bed were broken when we arrived but the agent sent someone to fix it straight away ...

«Just had a wonderful week at The Hawthorns, the house was spotless and homely , nice linen and comfy beds , the kitchen had everything we needed especially for self catering. Lots of board games for the children , smart tv with Netflix etc . Sarah the host was very welcoming and gave us lots of tips on where to go etc .The welcome basket was the best we’ve ever had, so thoughtful. The local pub was very welcoming and child friendly. Naturally there are few things that it might be helpful for the owner to know ......Hot tap in ensuite knocks/ sofa not in tv watching position/ loose back leg on sofa ( perhaps because it gets moved) / cracked milk jug on arrival so used gravy boat/ gate is dropped and so difficult to secure/ kitchen ...

«The Dairy Barn is a beautiful large property set in an idyllic location but within easy reach of local amenities and attractions by car. Our group consisted of 6 adults and the 3 en-suite bedrooms were ideal. The kitchen is large and very well equipped and there was plenty of seating in all rooms, including the very comfortable lounge. Plenty of parking for 3 cars and room to store our bikes. Would thoroughly recommend. Sally was very helpful and on-hand should we need anything.»
