«House was spotless, cosy and warm. The owner thought of little things you may forget to bring with you, condiments, cleaning stuff ect. The house location is perfect, half way between Keem beach and Achill sound where you enter on to the Island. We had such a nice time there and hope to return next summer when the weather is better. »

«Bathrooms were tiny, had no mirrors and hot water did not work in one. Remote for one tv did not work. Lighting was poor in kitchen and dining room. Pull on one drawer was broken. Exposed wires in dining room. Cushions did not fit in living room. Needed better instructions for stove.»

There was also a number of "welcome" items (box of cereal, milk, coffee teabags, biscuits and a lovely bottle of wine). «Easily the worst overnight stay I have encountered anywhere in my travels. We had no working water heater the first 24 hours so none of us could shower. The floors were sticky. We killed two sizeable spiders in the unit. The whole place smelled like chemicals but I couldn’t quite place what they were. Every shower had mold and mildew (and gross amounts of caulking) and mine included a sliver of dried bar soap complete with black speck inside the soap dish. The pillows were the kind you might ...
