«This quirky Victorian style property is a great place to stay. As a solo traveller I felt safe & staff were attentive. The continental breakfast was good with a wide selection of self service items on offer. You do need to be aware that the trains ‘toot’ as they go past and some are quite long but the hotel does supply ear plugs & using them I wasn’t bothered by the noise. All in all more of an old fashioned, individual stay rather than a corporate experience. I loved it! »

«The location is very convenient to dining options and is in a beautiful and historic area. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed eating a delicious breakfast in the quaint dining room. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, too.»

«We had a lovely stay at the Decker House B & B. Cynthia prepared a gourmet breakfast in time for us to make our early morning tour of Mason City sites. Perfectly located a block from our starting point at the library, near the Meredith Wilson childhood home and museum and a few blocks from the Frank Lloyd house and museum.
