Peach and Horne Monument Ben Peach and John Horne were the geologists who mapped Assynt and made a major contribution to understanding the complicated geology of the Moine Thrust Zone. In the background is Cuinneag (Quinag) above Loch Assynt.

Inchnadamph Lodge The lodge is run as a field centre and hostel. As well as dormitories it has some normal bedrooms, and there are also self-catering cottages. It is very popular with parties of geology students and naturalists.

The lodge is superbly located at the head of Loch Assynt with lovely views outside. The bed was very comfortable and the lodge has lots of power sockets. It is small and compact with limited storage space and no armchair but this is reflected in the price. Biggest problem was no mobile phone signal ...

Although lovely and clean and exactly as described, after hotels and a cottage the Pod was a bit small for us with hindsight. Was warm and well-equipped and is within easy walking distance to the beautiful beaches.
