Ilsington: St Michael's Church There has been a church on this site since the 11th century although the present cruciform building dates from the early 14th century with 15th century additions. In terms of area the parish is one of the largest in Devon. John Ford, the dramatist who wrote the controversial tragedy "'Tis Pity She's a Whore", was born in nearby Bagtor House and baptized in the church on 12 or 17 April 1586.

Great rooms the bed was so comfy. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was just total mayhem- too many people in a small area, shortage of plates and mugs. The layout needs to be re - designed. The queue for food clashed with the coffee machine! The actual food was ok though

A perfect house for our four generational family get together to celebrate my parent’s diamond wedding anniversary. The hot tub and indoor pool were great. We had a delicious meal by Nina the private chef, who came to the house to cook for us.Thank you

Newton Abbot

Ilsington: by the road to Beckaford, near to Haytor Vale, Devon, Great Britain. The Haytor Granite Tramway once crossed the road here. It then heads downhill by the road to Bovey Tracey and disappears into Yarner Wood on its way to Ventiford wharf on the Stover Canal.
