Grab all the delicious local produce you’ve collected and head to the lower ground floor farmhouse-style kitchen/diner to whip up a hearty feast to feed the crowd seated around the rustic dining table. When bedtime calls, climb to the first floor to find two quaint, coastal-themed bedrooms to retire to for a well-deserved rest before tomorrow’s adventure. Soak up your fresh, clean seaside air by dining alfresco in the small courtyard and star gazing long into the evening.

Set on the west coast of the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, the bustling town of Porthleven centres around a historic fishing harbour less than half a mile away and boasts an array of cafés, restaurants and galleries and the sights of fishing boats drawing in the daily catch. While away a glorious summer’s day relaxing on the 3-mile stretch of Porthleven Beach (0.5 miles); at low tide, take a scenic stroll along the beach to Loe Bar. Head south along the South West Coast Path to Lizard Point (14 miles) to be rewarded with breathtaking cliff-top views or head north to reach Marazion (8.5 miles), home to St Michael’s Mount, a rocky island crowned by a medieval church and castle.
