«Check-in/Front desk and Valet staff are friendly, professional and efficient.
The room is clean, well appointed (mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker). The only two issues are the bathroom barn (door doesn’t glide well) and the patio door (only opened two inches wide). We did not inform staff as we managed to deal with it for our two night stay (one of which was pouring rain so moot point for the patio door).
Otherwise, stay was good. »

«This was the second time my wife and I have visited Hawaii. The last time was 20 years ago, before kids, when we went the Maui.
This December we went to Waikoloa with our 14 and 16 year olds and it was a dream! The property is amazing, with a protected lagoon. They literally could swim with turtles, rays, and all kinds of fish. They also have a dolphin population right at the lagoon and you can watch them swim and play with their trainers all day long. It's pretty amazing.
We stayed in a Makai ...

«The room was very nice and spacious with a decent view of the ocean. I was very pleased on checkout day; we had a 10 PM flight, and the hotel not only let us use the facilities all day (pool, hot tub, etc.), but they gave us access to a hospitality room where we were able to take a shower at the time of our choosing. »

«We didn't get a chance to try the hot tub but the grounds are beautiful and all staff at lodge and restaurant were kind and helpful. Food was delicious and proximity to Kilauea volcano sights was super convenient. Hope to come back again soon!»

«So beautiful! Ocean view was amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful. My husband is vegan and he had plenty of delicious options at the breakfast buffet. Decor was lovely and felt very classic Hawaiian. We absolutely loved staying here and would come back in a heartbeat! »
